Problem you got/will be left with and something to think about while putting in your claim is the fact even if bike was repaired back to as new, you still gonna lose in the end due to having a bike that is now on the hpi insurance list, so therefore when you come to sell it will be worth ALOT less then a non repaired one.

Is there not an option for new for old OR even to say your not happy having a bike that has an hpi/insurance claim marker against it and for the reasons I stated above ?

Yeah, basically the garage estimate is all new replacement parts. Nothing will be 'fixed' as it were. So although there will be something on paper, it will be as it was before she hit it.

In the end this will probably go back to the dealership for trade in when the 2018 superbike comes out. They'll be okay with it knowing they did the repairs I'm sure

Your Still gonna get hit big time on value, even if PX in mate.

As is now, I think, if a mint one at dealer is going for £26k with full Akro race system and open race silencers and comes with the option to take out Ducati finance on it and its still not sold...
So,
Yours as before was damaged and gone through ins claim and on hpi damage list for sale privately, I would guess would be worth £25k.

Now,
As a repaired bike, Id think it would be valued at 20-30% less if you sold it on once fully repaired and thats if sold to joe public/private sale and not taken in at px / trade in prices, which I would expect to be even less again because Dealers have to make there bit of profit from it.

Just have a Really good think about it mate so you don't end up out of pocket bigtime

That specification of vehicle, passed on to me via the insurers, does have a reverse camera on it!!! The guy in front has clearly freaked her out by reversing and she's just lost it.
