Basically, taking advantage of the hole at the other end of the left handlebar (you need to take the rubber cap off). Took me less than 5 min to get the ball installed inside (from SW-MOTECH). I have RAM accessories, and could fit my GPS, GoPro and iPhone 6 Plus perfectly fine.

Thanks - see it now. I guess originally meant for steering head tube (I have a mount there) and you adapted it for use in the inside of the handle bar.

Can you tell me which ball you got? is it the 12.5mm one?

12.5 to 25.0 diameter... The ram ball that comes with it is 1 inch diameter.
