It sucks what the gov't has done to the off road riding in NJ. I rode enduros and hare scrambles in NJ and PA for 13 years, now there is hardly any place legal left to ride in the state.

you dont know bad till you live in california

While i will agree Jersey is not as bad, i think they are on there way, and if all the new laws they are trying to pass go into effect you won't even be able to look at an off road vehicle without a fine.

Same here. Used to have our own track, all our racing buddies had one, Land Management Bureau shut us all down. Those who insisted got stuck with unbelievable fines.

Would have to drive 2 hours for a decent riding area. Two asphalt tracks we go to are actually closer than the first MX track.

another dirt rider here! I have a 2003 KTM 300 2 stroke

Ex dirt-bike guy here, but question since you live close to me. Where do you ride it? I thought about getting another one, but I can't think of too many places that are a reasonable distance from the DC area to ride one so always figured it would sit in the garage for the most part.

Thanks!

You definitely have to drive 1-2 hours to go anywhere.

There's Taskers gap down in Edinburg, VA that has fun trails, but very rocky trails to go ride. This is about 2 hours away from NOVA and its only like $5 for a day pass or $35 for a year pass.

I've been wanting to go to Wicomico Motorsports park, which is on the way to MIR, and is only 1.5 hours away (more highways and less back roads), but they are usually only open on the weekends, and on fridays during a holiday weekend. They usually just have the park open and you can ride for like $40 for the day or something like that.

I used to go to Easton MX in Easton, MD but I think they're closed down now.

There's also a more local place in Nokesville, VA, http://www.forpwc.com/ But they are more like a club and require pretty expensive fees ($250 per year) to be apart of for an ok looking track.

I'm always looking for more people go ride with!

Thanks, that's what I figured. I have a GS, but not a real dirt bike and I suspect I probably won't pick one up but if I do I'll definitely be up for meeting up and hitting some trails.
