Do I need to disconnect the plug behind the headlight and just turn anti clockwise to remove bulb? Tried fiddling last night and noticed bulb turns as I twist the rear where the harness connects but unable to turn fully to remove bulb. Not sure if it needs some force to turn it. Any help will be appreciated.

The bulb will twist slightly but not enough to remove from the housing. You need to unplug it from the wiring then you can twist the bulb (towards the direction of the center of the bike. Clockwise for left bulb [as you ride it] and counterclockwise for right bulb) to remove it.
