Anyone else get their priority reservation email from Ducati NA today?

Destin Fl and you didnt order from us
Well if you have not recieved your email your bike order has not been placed. You are behind hundreds now maybe thousands worldwide.
The FDO Portal opened up 1/10/2012 at 3pm central 21 minutes later at 3:21 pm all D&D Cycles reservations were placed. Be more careful which dealer you place your order through next time. We have been a Authorized Ducati Dealer since the 90's and take great care of our customers. We would be happy to help you out in the future.
Funny story, I called you guys in late September asking about a Monster 1100 EVO. Got a quick "no" for a reply and that was it. Started thinking a little more and called about an 848, got a "we don't have any Ducatis in stock, sorry" and that was all. So I went and called up Florida Motorsports in Tallahassee and they had both is stock. Talked to them and got my call saying I was headed to Afghanistan in a couple days and here I am. So I ended up ordering through them.
I got my e-mail from Ducati, it's all good

Yes Sir You are correct. We were in and out of 1100 Evo's and 848 Evo's just about all summer and fall. Ducati just could not get them to us fast enough. Glad you got your email today though that only puts you a few hundred units behind the ball. You should have your 1199 by atleast mid summer.

Sounds good, or kind of like you are being a .... because I didn't order from you guys. But that didn't even sound like an option when I called. No "we can see what we can do" or "we have a lot of other options, come on over and we might be able to get you on something else" There was zero effort to try to earn my business.

There's no hard feelings, I just went with a different dealer. Although it would have been nice to not have to travel an extra 1.5 hours to get it. Plus I had a buddy of mine that picked up a Speed Triple from you guys and had nothing but good things to say.
Isn't it true that all dealers had to timestamp deposits when they received them and input this date into the order system? In order to insure fairness in the pre-order system so that one dealer up couldn't hoard up all the allocations by inputting their info into the system faster than another dealership that would be the only way to have it done. If there are guys that put down deposits the day the bike was revealed but their dealer put in the info the day after the system was operational it wouldn't be right for a guy who called up a week ago to have his bike ahead of those individuals because his dealer typed it in before another one did, correct?

Ok, then I should be good since I placed my deposit well in advance despite changing it to an ABS when that became an option on the base. So unless they don't get their first ABS model in until mid-summer, I should expect to take delivery the same time as everyone else that put down a deposit in November...come on April!

How would it work out any other way? I have my deposit timestamped on November 25th.
It's sales managers with that mentality and attitude that drive me away from dealerships like yours. "Well, since you didn't buy from us you won't EVER see your Panigale. You're behind 100's maybe THOUSANDS of other orders. Good luck." I wasn't the only one that didn't receive an e-mail twenty-one minutes after the system opened, yet you feel the need make it sound like there's a snowball's chance in hell of me getting the bike before the middle of summer. I guess all of us that reserved a bike somewhere else are screwed. Hopefully nobody ordered one from a dealership in the Northeast that got snowed in...they may not be able to get their name in the system until NEXT WEEK! That should put them what, sometime in 2013 before they see their bike?

I was told to expect my 1199 ABS early April by my dealer when I put down my deposit, contradictory to what the dealer I didn't order from is saying. Which works out perfect for me, seeing as how I'm in Afghanistan until then. Said he'll have it in, full Termi installed and waiting.

Thank you for the vote of confidence despite your remarks dripping with condescending undertones. I never said I figured out the Ducati FDO, it's a computer program I am unfamiliar with as I am not in that line of work. You did say I was correct in my earlier post about timestamps on the deposits in order to ensure fairness in prioritization when inputting into the system. Perhaps "timestamp" is not the official term used as opposed to deposit date.

I put my order in about four days ago and i received my email notification yesterday
i'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and the dealer in Austin TX. is doing a great job keeping me informed also.
