I am not one that likes to resemble everyone else...although I was planning this bike to be my first red Ducati, I changed my mind after hearing that red and tri were the only colors available. That being the case, I am going to get mine painted.

I work overseas and although I put my deposit first in June and will get the first S model at my dealer, I will not see the bike until August. I figure I am going to go ahead and have the dealer strip it down and send my parts out to get painted up so it is ready when I get back.

I am thinking of going with last years MotoGP theme like below...possibly without the Rossi 46 and such.

Anyone else on here painting theirs and if so, who is doing it? My track bike was done by Andrew Swenson and it came out great, so he may be getting the nod to do my Pani as well.

I have never seen a wrapped bike up close....how does it hold up? Does the wrap lay completely flat or are there chances of air bubbles and stuff like you sometimes get laying decals? Is it washable?

If I want to remove it, how hard is it? And finally, what is a guesstimate price compared to painting?

Thanks

I was quoted £350.00 to wrap my bike in a version of the 1199 Noir. As much as I like it I have decided to keep it as it is just use clear 3m stone guard on the nose and tank.
