Anyone ride daily in 90-100F and traffic?

Apologises for my ignorance but what does this do and what effect would it have

It appears to be an aftermarket addition to the cooling system to improve cooling. It looks like an auxiliary water pump is one of the parts.

From the English catalog:

The MWP is a patented electromechanical system for regulating the temperature of thermal or electric engines.
The system uses two main components: the electronic control unit and the water pump.
The control unit reads the engine temperature data using a can and, an additional sensor inserted in the electric pump, determines the radiator's ability to dissipate heat. It intervenes by managing the fans and the speed of the liquid inside the system, making the most of the efficiency of the electric pump.
The control unit proportionally manages both the fans and the electric pump.
Based on the set target temperature, the flow of liquid (irrespective of the number of engine revs.) and the power of the cooling fans increase autonomously without waiting for the engine to reach 100° centigrade.
The electric pump fitted on modern engines
guarantees a completely new level of efficiency, increasing the capacity of the original radiator by 30% to dissipate the heat of the engine.
For example, while driving in city traffic at reduced speeds and low rpm, the pump could operate at maximum speed, something which only occurs at full speed in the case of a mechanical pump.
In recent years, the ever higher specific powers of engines, combined with increasingly stringent anti- pollution regulations, have resulted in an increase in engine operating temperatures. While driving in the city, the engine often reaches temperatures in excess of 100°C.

So, the TL;DR is this thing takes control of fan and coolant pumping, regardless of the rpm, to maximize radiator efficiency even when the bike is at low idle.

Cool.

So I added heat tape to my seat last weekend, based on torrific's earlier post.

I didn't have access to the Zircoflex he used - very pricey stuff native to Australia - so I just used this from the local auto parts store:

Took me about 2 hours in total to cut all the shapes and apply:

Rode the bike all this week, and my observation is that the heat from the seat has gone from "warm" to "lukewarm".

Overall, an easy mod if you want to try.

I’m just curious. Would a full exhaust system help with the issue?

I can tell you the best results come from a combination of leathers or riding jeans with padding under them to help.

I will second this...a good pair of riding jeans will help deal with a lot of the heat. However, it will always be warm..not making excuses for Ducatis but they have always rode pretty warm.

I've noticed after the full Akra its still warm but not alarming like it was before. Before exhaust I would have to dangle my leg to get some air across it. Now its not getting hot enough to warrant that.

Cheers,

The Monzatech works as advertised. But because it uses a second pump mounted on the side - the design seemed to forget the different fairing mounts on the V4R, and the left side fairing doesn't clip back on properly. Returned the unit - H2O street radiator next!

I got to experience the heat a couple weeks ago. I just bought my V4S. I got two, 250km rides in before it snowed. These were at 2C to 5C (35F). I was fine on the highway, but I could definitely feel the heat when riding in stop and go traffic. I was surprised at how warm my leg got in these cold temps. This is in motorcycle jeans. I can't imagine what it would be like in 30C weather. Even coolant temps were pretty warm in stop and go traffic despite the near freezing outdoor temps. I'm just breaking the bike in, so that might cause it to run a bit warmer as well, until it loosens up.

An exhaust that eliminates the catalytic converter HAS to help. Cats really trap heat. I'm curious to see if free flowing catless exhaust helps on my bike. I will also be ceramic coating my headers.

I agree the Panigale heat is significant and I had to make adjustments to resolve the issue.

By far and away, the best solution is to just not ride in traffic. Personally, dealing with the clutch in stop-and-go traffic is unbearable enough, let alone heat. My first ride from the dealership home was in stop-and-go traffic, in jeans with thighs getting scorched, and I questioned if I made a bad purchase. I recognized the bike is meant to be in motion. Consequently, I only use for late-night/early-morning/weekend joy rides in addition to track days. I would not want to commute on the bike if I know there's traffic along the way.

I bought a nice set of leathers and the Ducati Performance comfort seat, both for reasons other than heat but those items have helped reduce my awareness of the heat.

With those adjustments, I look forward to every ride with my 959.

Other things I've heard of that might help include the Ducati heat shield, wrapping headers, sitting higher, opening your legs, and even removing some plastics to increase airflow under seat (I wouldn't recommend this).

Is there a different for street use H2O radiator?

I purchased some kevlar fiber, and then sowed it into my leather pants bro...this was the best fix for me personally...i got several quarter sized blood blisters a couple summers ago with just the track suit on...

Amazon product ASIN B07T9V6V48

Thanks man, good to know everyone is taking action to solve this

I was starting to think I was the onlyone that felt the heeeeeat

def not the only one buddy! still have ptsd from that burning...3hr drive from dallas to austin....sucked so hard.
I did the carbon side covers, and the race/comfort seat is higher wich also helped some....but biggest thing was just sowing in more heat resistant padding

Never gave up on the bike. succeeded in fixing the heat problem now just njoying the bike for what it is.

Gold taped my seat but tbh didnt feel a reduction in temp.

Kevlar Jeans and apline base layer helped a lot.

The real winner was insatalling some layers of closed cell foam insulation under the seat and this REALLY worked. I have some thermal images of the testing i did at work. 300F below the 3/4 foam, 27 C above.

I thought the V4 heat problem was insane and a deal brealker but with slight modding it
really can be ridden in 100F stop n go traffic no problem.

What kevlar jeans did you find worked well for this?
