Has anyone tried Brentuning solution on the 1299? I don't need more HP, just interested in smoothing out the low RPM range and throttle. I've had someone locally flash the ECU for me with a new fuel mapping which provided some improvement, but riding in slow traffic between 3 and 4K rpm is still a little lumpy. Would appreciate some advice.

try the 41 in sprocket worked for most

3-4K lumpy? Hmm. I find 1-2K a little lumpy (not much) but mine is tuned. I don't know if the 1299s are any worse than the 1199s.

I have Rapid Bike Race....Its really really nice. Best thing I have done for it. It makes it a lot easier to ride slow. Maybe consider it ?

Grrr.....No, I am an ..... and hit send first.

So....

Metal enclosure, ignition timing, TC and QS, and my builder and I figured it would be the better of the two since I had engine mods. They also have the PRO software, and I thought it was only able to program the Race. Not sure on that part but seems familiar.

Higher compression, cam timing by hand, "R" flywheel, piston ring gap, Rapidbike Race.

Nothing exotic.

Cometic gaskets, peeled one layer off. Didnt mill the head at all. Checking squish on these bikes is really a lot of labor. We knew the tolerance change with the gasket only.

I run Tuneboy, the standard tunefile that comes with it smoothed out the throttle very nicely. I tried the dyno tunefile, and that was good too except for a slight off throttle hesitation. Then I got the full undertail termis, not having a tune for it I tried the full akra tune that came with Tuneboy. That seems to work extremely well, nice throttle response etc. I put a wideband in the pipe to check nothing really bad happening and it seems OK, no sub for a dyno tune, which I will get soon, but still in an OK range.

Cheers
