PANIGALE IS IT REALLY THAT GOOD? PT2 - YouTube

He only complains of heat...Mentions how good the breaks are, suspension and power delivery also. But gives it a bad review??? The D-BAG is driving it around town stoplight to stoplight not letting her breath.

Sorry but I needed to vent, and I know this is the right place

Also, I never saw the first part

"Burning my arse to pieces ...... the seat is comfortable, in spite of being a 1000 degrees" " power is exceptionally good, suspension feels really nice, power delivery strong and consistent, strong as well", "rear brake hard to get to, would put in a new set if mine"

I thought pretty good review actually. Anyway, we know it's the best bike ever, that's all that matters!

I personally liked the review by the guy drifting in sandals. Bike so gooooood his clothes came right off. Lol

Truth be told the reviews that did it for me were MCN's, Visor Down's Living with Pani, and some nut in California who decided to live. ;)

I lost interest when he kept going on about how hard the rear brake is to find.

Whoa. What's with Southeastjay and all the furries that walk across the street around 5:10?

Moron should buy himself a Honda Dax. Would suit his playground better.

what heat?

not the usual habitat for a ducati superbikes, dats for sure !
no doubt,its hot!
i do my running-in on the track&i always suit up while riding to the track, but i still feel uncomfortable !
but after the running-in, the factory upgrade/reflash plus my wrapping of the exhaust pipes , i don't feel the heat , no more?
dat is without my suit, juzz jeans&tees!
dunno really noe which one does the trick but there's another factory upgrade comming up&inclusive of a new exhaust shield.
so as u can see , ducati does look into our feedback.
in case u 're not aware ,there's a character, who we all noe,'ve clocked 15,000miles on his panigale S touring round america!!!!!!
so what heat?

Saw this yesterday on youtube also. Overall, it was a pretty bad review of the bike. The guy's message was that it wasn't a bike he'd buy and it's overrated.... Oh well, to each their own.....

I am obsessed with this signature!

"If your ass is too hot you are too slow - ....."

You can read this so many ways! LOL

Breaks or brakes? I guess both when it comes to Ducs. :D

hey, thats what I said in my head...guess my computer didnt understand...lol

But back to this "review"...its like testing a jet ski in a pool. Its just stupid, hes in traffic. he dosent even get to the real power of the bike. I would understand if he was on like a streetfighter or multi...this just dosent make any sense, AT ALL. Another guy that wants to hate on an amazing ducati. He didnt even touch on all the adjustments and customization you get to make it perfect for you.

I have had it for 2 weeks now and would have to disagree with it being an "overpriced let down". Though I've only got about 300 miles on it, it blows my mind every time I get on it (or look at it in my garage). My only concern prior to picking it up was the heat issue (which most said was a non-issue). After riding it, both in jeans and leathers, this is a non-issue (at least to me). It's warm. BFD. Maybe this guy would be happier with a Vespa.

Here is my .2 cents ..

First off, lets remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion and as such what gives that opinion more credence is when it is based more so on fact and assertion.

Lets take his video, naturally he is riding what appears to be a base 1199 around the city of London .. urrm, we do not know what mods he has on (seat, etc), secondly one could equally provide a video of going around Leguna Seca on a moped/scooter and complain about poor handling, etc .. the point is context and herein the lack of it.

I have had the 1199 since July 2012 and as we all factually know there is an obvious heat issue. However, the 1199 is a pure race bike adapted to the road with Ducati's best efforts.

Personally, mods can be done to the bike to address some of the heat, in my own case, sports seat, Ceramic coating of the entire exhaust, a titanium exhaust. Adopting an adaptive riding style helps, avoiding traffic jams, etc. And I imagine that the fugly heating mods may indeed help.

Bottom line, the 1199 is an absolutely awesome machine and we now know that heat management was a design compromise. I can live with that.

If I had the opportunity all over again, I would still purchase the 1199 and I will still mod it in the style that I have.

Ducati delivered an awesome bike and I very thankful to them for doing so.

Reference - I live in California.

Cali - that was more like a quarter :D And what's with the avatar? Were you at an Egyptian exhibit at the museum over the weekend or something? :) Oh, and +1 except for the heat part ;)
