I have 2 sets of the MotoXP race bodywork. I attached a picture of my 1299S Red Bull race set. The quality is good. I've raced using SharkSkinz, Attack, SebiMoto and Armour Bodies. I haven't wrecked, yet, on the MotoXP fairings, but they seem quality made. I am impressed with the paint job and the clear coat over the stickers. It was really nice dealing with Alessandro and he sent me mock-ups of the proposed race bodywork until I was happy with the scheme. He was very patient. I got the elite level paint job, full bodywork with a superbike tail, and a windscreen, for approximately $1100 U.S. dollars. The bodywork was nicely wrapped and protected in the large box I received.
PROS: Other than drilling, which wasn't hard, this was a great deal for everything. The paint is nice, the clear coat is nice and the stickers were really nice. The windscreen is thin and very clear.
CONS: The superbike tail has 3 major attachment points. You will receive a flat rectangular support plate to go under the tail but it isn't enough. The first attachment point is the junction between the seat where it abuts the tank. This will crack. I tried shimming it up and using rubber grommets, but it didn't help. (I move around a lot on the bike and really stress the seat area/tail.) I went to puke hole Home Depot and got a rubber mat and cut out squares to fill in the gap under the front of the seat. I just glued them in after I cut out and stacked several pieces. Attachment point 2 is under the back of the tail section. This uses 4 small bolts. I red lock tighted them. I blue lock tighted them. I cursed at them. I kept losing the bolts no matter what I tried. I've now drilled the 4 bolts in the back and safety wired them. We'll see how this works after this upcoming weekend at Roebling Road. Third attachment is on the seat pad. There are 2 bolts. No problems with this area.
Bottom line: The guys at MotoXP are really nice, helpful and easy to deal with. The bodywork comes painted and stickered how you request it. The paint job and bodywork is a great price. In Jacksonville, Florida, you couldn't find a painter ( not one sober, literally) to do this paint job, add stickers (if available) and clear coat it for less than $500 to $600 and that's if you get the buddy deal and take the guy a bottle of hooch. Then you add in the cost of the bodywork, drill it, mount it, take it off, go to the painter, call the painter several hundred times, finally get your stuff back and go remount it.
If you work with MotoXP, and they send you mock ups, you shouldn't be disappointed. I'm not. I even told them about the seat issues and they are working on a new design.
I wish I could end this message by stating "ciao, I'm off to Mugello!" Unfortunately, I'm going back to work.
Peace and good luck.
