I appreciate some here will pull up at their garage leave the engine running stay sitting on the bike and paddle it backwards and forwards with their feet gods natural selection process I guess!

Keeping the bike balanced while trying to get it on the rear paddock stand is the bit that seems tricky to me and I’m not sure what advantage not having a side stand has compared to the convenience of leaving it on the side stand while you get the rear paddock stand and put the bike on it.

I’m not seeing the reason for removing the side stand for a track-day bike?

one less std thing to feck up if you crash stick it in the box with all the other std stuff
ground clearance
not required as you roll back into the garage and can't add the stand your self a mate ( I guess super Doooper will struggle here) or someone else in your garage puts the stand on

Do you use aftermarket rear sets? I can't remember the drama about the choice of them?

It cannot be denied that the website does give the impression that their fairings are made in Italy, which they are clearly not, and that they are saying in emails that they are supplying Ducati parts (at least the lower fairing) which they are not.

why look beyond the std ducati stuff available. These do have the part numbers in them the same as the red original ones. they fit, and they are a reasonable price

That’s the way I went - I thought the Ducati stuff was very reasonably priced. The guy who painted them told me that they were good quality and he didn’t need to spend much time at all preparing them for paint and fixing issues, unlike the usual Chinese fairings the track guys give him, and of course they fitted perfectly.

Looking at the deals at their website, it is only for the older V4, not from -22 and up. They cost close to 3000€ still...too much for me to use only as a track set. Cannot understand why I cannot buy unpainted from them?!

And I've also had the unfortunate experience of some events where the garage space is so crowded that there is no room, requiring constant manoeuvring to get into a tight spot... just what you need after 20 minutes of wrestling a V4 around in 30 degrees C. A side stand gives you a breather and chance to take your helmet and gloves off.

Stop taking V4 to Cartagena kart track mate.

All other tracks where 30C is achievable have decent size garages

They do, but certain organisers only open up a few garages - probably because they are costed additionally. The last 2 events at Portimao the organisers requested 10 bikes per side of a (half) garage.. I think we had 8 on our side and it was quite tight with all the crap that we take with us on Euro events.

(BTW, never been to Cartagena and definitely won't go as I understand they are noise testing there now 😱)
