you still don't want a side stand getting in the way, especially as the ducati rear stand is through the rear spindle easy peasy...
That's helpful!
OK then, buy shoit, you reap what you sow!

Is it so hard not to be such an insufferable .... in every post? You don't have to be a miserable .... all of the time. You can just exist and be decent to people.OK then, buy shoit, you reap what you sow!

They were other posts, on this site even, whereas the buyer was happy with them. Maybe something changed along the way, but they don't seem to offer the quality they use to.
That’s unacceptable mate.Is it so hard not to be such an unsufferable .... in every post?
Dude suck a dick. You are constantly pissing and moaning and when someone calls you out for being such a tool you just say they don't have a sense of humor.is it not so hard to develop a sense of humour.....ffs

Well, it wouldn't seem genuine now. But, I hereby grant you a Chinese kock-off thank you. That’s unacceptable mate.
The word is ‘insufferable’.
EDITED
You’re welcome! Not even a bloody thank you.
I was thinking they were using Ducati (like dude said they were...) but just got them at a good price since they're based in Italy. The fit of the ZXMT fairings (lets call them what they are) isn't terrible, dare I say close to OEM. Where they suffer is the exposed finish of the raw plastic parts. They just look kind of rough. They aren't suitable to use the OEM spring clips/screw bosses-whatever they're called, either. Just about every tab is too thick for the spring clips. MotoXP provides well nuts, but all of the holes are too small for well nuts, not that it's a huge problem with ABS. A step bit makes short work of getting the well nuts installed. The screws MotoXP provides, which there is an automatic charge for, aren't the best. They're aluminum but the hex size is like 4.5mm or some odd size.Considering what he bought was 4x the actual price, he didn’t buy cheap. And considering that the DP upper fairing set (97180781A) is around $800-1k it’s not too far out of realm that the MotoXP fairings were legit.
Well I hadn’t looked at all of them!
I’ve been looking at carbon ones recently and the track ones from Ilmberger and Full Six don’t have cutouts for the side stand. Although it’s for track use, I can’t imagine how I’d get it on the stand without dropping it in the garage… A side stand is quite useful.
Track bike = keep side stand
Race bike (or poseur inconvenient race bike with lots of sticker = remove side stand
I have friends that put the side stand back on their race bikes for track days because balancing the bike is such a pain
Don’t forget that ‘4x the actual price’ was for painted fairings, albeit just one colour. But still, it’s maybe not impossible that they could have been genuine and the real point is that his expectation of them being genuine was based on the rather well-known vendor telling him that they were genuine.Considering what he bought was 4x the actual price, he didn’t buy cheap. And considering that the DP upper fairing set (97180781A) is around $800-1k it’s not too far out of realm that the MotoXP fairings were legit.
I don’t get which tree the apple hasn’t fallen far from.I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…
I don’t see any advantage to not having a side stand for track days and it seems far more convenient and safer to me. It actually reminds me of an old friend who taught me to ride (by going off into the woods and doing jumps) - he had an old 900SS (the old single seat black and gold one) and it had no side stand, so he used to park it by leaning it up against a wall…I have friends that put the side stand back on their race bikes for track days because balancing the bike is such a pain
One can dream…I've observed around the garage on track days, and a few seem to have trained track wenches who know how to work a stand and even tire warmers. I'm not quite there yet.
And I've also had the unfortunate experience of some events where the garage space is so crowded that there is no room, requiring constant manoeuvring to get into a tight spot... just what you need after 20 minutes of wrestling a V4 around in 30 degrees C. A side stand gives you a breather and chance to take your helmet and gloves off.
You’re not rich enough to have a private garage??? Plebe
