motoxpricambi.com fairings…a cautionary tale

They do, but certain organisers only open up a few garages - probably because they are costed additionally. The last 2 events at Portimao the organisers requested 10 bikes per side of a (half) garage.. I think we had 8 on our side and it was quite tight with all the crap that we take with us on Euro events.

(BTW, never been to Cartagena and definitely won't go as I understand they are noise testing there now 😱)

cartagena is for the cheap skate northerners....

On a slightly connected topic, what are the reasonable options (in EU) for 2023 V4R track fairings preferably with dzus fasteners?

Bikesplast dont seem to answer their emails. Motoforza said that their 2021 fairings should fit, but would require "a little bit of cutting" :/

Is there a Dzus fastener kit you can by and add to the Ducati OEM track fairings? Other than being a pain in the arse to get on and off due to the amount of fixings, I think the OEM stuff is one of the best available options.

You can do it, but the ABS plastic in the Ducati performance is not so good for making modifications in, and also they are difficult to repair. I have a -19 R faring on my -22, and its a bit of hazzle to get it to fit. You can do it, some cutting and also to drill holes for fittings at the tank. Also some trouble with the sides to get the fixed plugs in. I want a real track fairing, but seems like the only option is Plastic Bike, but they are not so perfect either...

Looks great in yellow. 👍

Do you have a thread on what happened with your bike? If not... what happened?!

I was out at Jerez in January. Starter failed between T4 and T5, engine cut off and I couldn't start it.
Barni later found broken starter but also noticed strange engine sound while running still.
The bike then went to a dealer in Germany for an engine replacement. Luckily under warranty.

I guess it’s lucky it wasn’t mid-corner.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

At least it was replaced under warranty.

I'm used them before and was happy with the quality for the price. I did for get hit with the extra $100 oversized shipping but my paint was top notch 👌
