Hello All,

I was approached by a police officer over the weekend due to lack of rear turn signals (missing fronts too but he didn't care about those- I use hand signals)

He was parked close by and was interested in the bike, but ended yup giving me a pep-talk regarding rear turn signals...

I was already planning on finding a permanent solution to this issue.

I Bought bike pre-owned, came with Competition Werks Tail tidy and PO had already removed stick tail/turn signals, I like the look so I want to swap the stock tail light for an integrated tail light.

I did some search this morning and found that although some people like the integrated tail light, others claim its not bright enough.. in some cases not even as bright as the stock unit.

Those with integrated Tail lights, can you please chime in and share which one you are using, how you like it and if possible, please share a link...

I would like to get this sorted today and avoid getting pulled over..

Thank you all

I have tail light from white lights performance or something from germany. Actually EU approved aswell

do you have a link?

i run the comp. werkes as well but here in SC the cops don't give a rats ....

Not integrated But the NRC unit is really bright compact and well priced....

In my opinion, the integrated tail lights are useless other than keeping you from getting a ticket. I ride with a friend who has them and it is very difficult to tell at a distance if he is turning. And, I've seen him almost get taken out by a car as a result.
I have the Rizoma LED turn signals in combination with a tail tidy. The Rizoma's are much brighter than OEM. Nonetheless, I also use hand signals in addition to bright LED turn signals if I know someone is behind me and we are traveling at speed.
You need all the help you can get to prevent getting taken out by a car. To me, any aesthetic benefit is not worth compromising my safety.
But hey, do what you want.

"That was a cool looking bike. Too bad he's dead."

+1 on the NRC. Nice, bright rear turn signals, but very sleek and stealth. Love mine.

i agree with above... if you are looking for function and form, i dont think it gets better than the NRC. I love it, its bright, you can see the LED turn signals very easily and it tucks the licence plate nicely along with adding a light for the plate.

If your location is correct you do not need turn signals.

State-by-state motorcycle laws

If your mind is correct, you'll put a turn signal anyway.
That policeman is nice, interested in ducati and kind enough to advice (no fines?). Very lucky state to have such gentleman.

Trust me, being rear ended by a car and sandwiched is not something you want to experience. I've done it, proven not enjoyable, have a lasting effect.

Totally agree.

I don't want turn signals because the are required. I want them because it will be an additional common sense step towards an attempt to take away as many dangerous variables as possible. Kind of like wearing ATGATT or wearing back protector , using hand signals even when (u think) no one is around etc etc

I have the NRC and highly recommend them as bright, clearly visible to other motorists--especially when paired with the even better Oberon bar end turn signals--the Oberons are clearly visible front and rear.

I use these together and have had friends comment on how very attention getting they are.

I believe that is the same as this BellissiMoto - Integrated Taillights

Which is sadly almost useless... people can't see turn signals for ....... I have it on my SL because I HAD to get rid of that monstrosity of a fender, but I've got mild regret about it (you know it's bad when other RIDERS tell you they can't tell wtf I'm up to, and I signal consistently).

I've been waiting on the $@#$! motodynamic part for 2 years now. Some people on this forum have prototypes (which I would love to buy off them at stupidly high mark-up) but instead have started to mess around with an arduino project to build my own. This subject annoys me to NO END.

Had CW on my '12 and almost got rear ended by my riding buddies more than once. Totally useless in daylight, somewhat visible at night.

On my '13 I opted to go for Ohlins suspenders instead of bling and was quite happy with my choice. Can't look at my ... when riding anyways.

Mine are not the same. They could be better, but I have seen alot worse.

Watsen makes some of the brightest led signals I've seen. Easily brighter than OEM in the oon sun. I have them on my S1000rr. Guys were running them on their 1098's & 1099's.
Excellent quality and workmanship.
Only problem is the high demand. Has a tight ordering window of just 2 or 3 days for a number of months. But worth the wait if you want to keep the lines of the bike and still want your intentions seen.
My .02 cents........

Watsen Design LED Signals

I would recommend Amber led strips with adhesive backing. They come in an assortment of lengths and very bright, just need to use a resistor so you don't get the super fast blinking. I mounted them in the air duct which concealed them until turned on. That set up worked great, even in day light.
