Australian Superbike round is worth a look. Bayliss is off the 1299Fe with a broken hand sustained in the round run alongside the WSBK at Phillip Island earlier this month.
Young Mike Jones is filling in for the immediate rounds. He won the championship on an 1199r in 2016. Then raced for Ducati factory in the European Super stock series finishing 5th while team mate Rinaldi won and went on to WSBK.
Mike raced the 1st round of ASBK at PI this month on a borrowed Kawasaki and set a new ASBK record of 1:31.8 in the last race for a 2nd. This time would have placed him up amongst the WSBK field !
