Hi I just purchased some gold ASV c5 levers for my 1299 after opening the box I noticed that the gold was a different shade on the brake than on the clutch lever can someone tell me if it's meant to be like that or have I just purchased an inferior product. let me tell you these levers weren't cheap so I expect A grade quality at $200 each who wouldn't. Am I being a bit perdantic also one of the levers is rougher than the other one meaning the clutch is smoother. Should I take them back to stealership? Because I won't be able to live with different colour.

Take it back, I've had ASV levers and they are a mint 10/10 product

That them back. ASV is usually spot on fit and finish. Also check out pazzo. they're a Canadian company. You can customize the adj lever & the lever color. They're 200 for the set. Pazzo Racing - Performance Sportbike Custom Levers

Ok I took the levers back to the stealership and he said he will find some levers which will match in colour I'll let you know how I get on it's a bit disappointing because I was looking forward to installing them on the weekend so I'll have to wait until next week to get a new pair installed oh well such is is life thanks for getting back to me on this matter.
 
He shouldn't have to FIND THEM, just order a new set should be 100% match. I bought mine from motomummy back when the dollar was on parity for my R1.

Ok I got a call from the stealership today they said your levers have arrived and hopefully these will match so I drove down on my lunch break and compared the levers with the other ones ordered the other day and guess what they don't match they are the same wtf wasted my time again so I told stealership guy to order me the black or red levers so hopefully they will match I'll keep you informed.
 
Sounds like they having a manufacturing problem then, speak direct to ASV they should be perfect.

haha, those are some nice black levers bases. the black adjusters match perfectly... Maybe it's a saftey thing the miss color is so you don't confuse brake for clutch. lol... man that's truly a shame on the level of quality. :D:D:D:D
 
You should reach out to ASV directly. They team is great and very responsive. I had issue with mine that they resolved extremely fast and without any question asked.
 
I'm living in Australia so it will be pretty hard to reach out to them but thanks for your help anyway hopefully the black or red levers will match in colour if not I'll get a full refund. I'm sick of driving to stealership and being disappointed. Don't get me wrong the workmanship on the levers is exceptional but the colour matching on the two different levers leaves a lot to be desired.

Ok just emailed Asv customer service I'll let you know what they say in regards to the inconsistent colour matching I'll keep you posted.
 
Ok asv just got back to me on the colour matching problem they said they were probably made from a different batch in a different time period so he basically said if you want to be sure order from them direct then they will make sure they will match I will see how the next colour matchup goes surely they can't .... it up a 3rd time.
