First post but been watching. My life changed 4 months ago with the arrival of my beloved Pani. I had been a ZX10R man for years.

Looking for advice from any Aussie members on what you do with you rego labels. I hate to bolt it below the number plate.

what state are you in? I know here in W.A we have done away with the rego sticker/label

However its good to keep it on the number plate just incase you know it rotates over your plate ;)

I am in Victoria Kaido, and we still have the rectangle label.

It has to sit below the plate as far as i know, but i was thinking of a label tube?

Mine is under the seat as well but a mate was done for $150 last weekend.

Spot on XIXCIX

I just found it on the Vicroads website.

Premier Denis Napthine has announced that from 1 January 2014, Victoria will abolish registration labels for light vehicles, including passenger cars.

It is estimated this move will save Victorians $19.5 million a year by reducing the red tape burdens.

What is considered a light vehicle?
A light vehicle is a car, motorcycle, motor trike or a truck with a Gross Vehicle Mass (weight) of less than 4.5 tonnes. This also includes scooters and light trailers.

Only 6 weeks to go

Yup.
If your not riding a heap (or doing anything wrong ) you should be ok.
I've been 10 months no issues ;)

Don't have one . Come from the state that prides itself on being progressive and having the best serial killers .

WTF is a rego label ?

Pictures ? I always like seeing what other countries do in regard to bikes.

I remember I was in Afghanistan working closely with some Brit's and the subject of sports bikes came up. Of course just about every Alpha male within earshot had one. Then he asked me how long it took me to get my liter bike license. I said I had a motorcycle endorsement if thats what he meant, and I read the book and took the five minute driving test. (I astonished him when I said I rode to take the test).

He again asked me how long it took in the USA to move from a 250 to a 1,000. I asked him to explain wtf he was asking. Apparently in GB you MUST start on a 125 class bike and ride it for a predetermined time, he might have said a year. Then test out of it to a larger motor, like a 500 then ride for a year, with the culmination being a liter bike, which takes many years to get that license...He was horrified when I told him I walked into a dealership, wrote a check and rode off with a 1,000cc GSXR. He really didnt believe me at first....

Queensland has announced that rego stickers will no longer be required as of October 2014! This will bring us in line with all the other states.

In the mean time.....

You can laminate your rego sticker and wrap it around your top left fork tube with a couple of zip ties...The cops can still see all the info they require..

We have a license plate. And the rego label.
The label has a little info like vehicle type, weight, expiry.
