In Australia we have a habit of shortening words. So rego label or sticker is actually a Registration Label. This is the small label displayed somewhere on the vehicle which shows details like the Vehicle Identification Number and the date that the vehicle registration (taxes and compulsory insurance) was paid and when it will expire.
I think all seven states in Australia is getting rid of them. NSW since 1 Jan this year.
