Yeah agreed hardly worth it. Its just a pity Panigale's are priced so aggressively in Oz. I nearly parted with 35K a few weeks ago on 1199S but if i'm going to shell out that much coin on one i might as well wait for the 1299S. There are a couple of pre owned 1199s for 28K - 3500 km, not bad but i like the thought of owning one of these from new and besides it'll be a keeper.

prices were RRP I quoted and only from one dealer in QLD.

re: Ducati pricing, I paid 32k for a new 13 S model with termi cans only 3-4 months ago....pays to wait!

are you referring to my bike?

If so motolife at coloundra. they had just changed owners and just become an official Ducati dealer on the sunshine coast (Townsville shop had been for a while) and had previous owners old stock there they wanted to move. Yes on road, cans and comfort seat...which stayed on the bike for 150kms! They sold a base at the same time for 24-25 out the door too...dunno if he hit them up for cans though, exhaust wasn't part of the deal....I hit them up with mine.

I did hear rumours that NF had a couple of 13 models left they wanted moved and offered them to the dealers at a better price.

Yes I am that is why your post is quoted above my comment.

Sounds like you got a good deal. As there was a waiting list in May 2012 there were no deals to be had back then. I got bike number 8 in Australia back then, but it cost me a $500 deposit in November 2011 to get that.

If I was buying now and wanted an 1199S, I would get a good secondhand one with low kms. Plenty of those going at really good prices. If I was buying new I would wait a few months for the new one.

was told we won't have pricing till Jan/Feb by the dealership. and they don't expect stock till around June/July
 
Yeah pricing will be similar to current pricing.
28-30,000 for the base, 36,000 for the S and 46,000 for the R on road.
I wanted the S seems like a real keeper and the best value for money unless you're racing it. But getting a current R for the same price as an S was something I couldn't refuse. Awesome bike, stocked you guys with preorders can't wait to see guys picking up the new 1299s. Will be trick bikes.

You're talking about my bike, I bought the base model from motolife townsville, I hit them up for the termi cans as part of the deal but no good... Did manage to get a brand spanker 0km panigale for $24,990 so pretty bloody happy with that deal.

there you go!! I wondered if it may have been someone on here, I recall seeing a post from Townsville about the same time.
