If its not one thing in my life, its another. I'm a bit of a hot head, and clearly from some of my posts here we all see I am capable of being your average american ......., but at the end of the day I just work work work study and then find some free time to ride my beloved. Everyday I try and be a better person because my being depressed/angry all the time is just a never ending circle of cynicism.

One day this 6 months-year of awful luck will run out. How about we all keep our fingers crossed for me in my current endeavor to "befriend" this 32 year old MILF at work ;)

Hats off to keeping your cool... KARMA. Be careful, just because she bumped into you, doesn't mean she will let you slide into her....;). Good luck....

Sorry for all the drama you're having to endure through someone else's idiocy. But I can't help wondering, wouldn't uninsured motorist coverage take care of this for you? Best of luck sorting things out.

It may, or may not I have no idea. I believe she wants to avoid insurance, and being that I'm only expecting <$500 to do it all her deductible is probably around that so it'd be pointless. Had this been intense labor that I needed a stealership to do I would've advised her to go through insurance. I'm a big believe in damages that are up to 2X what your deductible is, you should just pay out of pocket.

For example, my policy with rider only provides two claims within a three year period or they drop you. I used one claim this past November so I've gotta watch it.

Thanks for the words. I'm a VERY safe player. I know the ins and outs (no pun intended) of keeping myself out of workplace drama. My employment situation is somewhat unique in a way that any of that "don't dip your pen in company ink" drama can be avoided.

I just hope Ducati Omaha gets me this tail piece before the end of the month. If I miss my weekend at NJMP i'm gonna go crazy :D

Yea that girl has a lot of good things coming her way. Too many people now a days want to try and blame their poor life and fortune on someone else. The fact the she shows responsibility for her actions means she will go far in time.

Bump for being so understanding and helping her out. Karma goes both ways.

Good for you and good for her. I think both did the right thing. Sometimes there are good people in this world but most often... Not

glad you were so cool about it. no sense in getting yourself worked up over things you don't control, but many people fail to recognize that. i know how the seemingly unended string of ...... things goes. my home was broken into a week before i moved across the country, my furniture was destroyed during the move, i was robbed 3 times after moving, just overall good times. things get better though, so good luck with all of it!

well played, player.

Pretty dignified way of dealing a bad situation, I wish they were all like you and her!

After typing this out for a second time now because this site sucks and times out you login for no apparent reason and deletes your whole text here goes:

Try ticking the remember me box, that stopped the auto log out for me.

.......

Was she hot?!!! ;)

so what does she look like?

We have to assume she works out! Getting out of your car and lifting nearly 400lbs of motorcycle is no easy task. Especially by yourself and then the wheels won't grip so it just keeps sliding...and sliding instead of standing up  then when you finally do get it up trying to make sure it doesn't fall on the OTHER side is a ..... too.

Sounds like someone's speaking from experience. :)

Always easier to turn around (with butt facing the bike) when dead-lifting a bike. That's how I got mine off the ground after someone knocked mine over. But like you said, just be extra careful you don't flip it over on its other side.

One thing to note, though--I still cannot fathom how little damage there is to the bike when it goes horizontal. The first time mine went on its side (my fault) the only damage was a slight scratch on the bar end. I thought for sure the tank and the fairing and the rear section would be ......, but nope.

Good luck getting her pristine again. And good luck with collections. After a month or two I'd be surprised if you don't start getting excuses instead of checks....

if she bumped into it with her car, then i would assume there would be damage on both sides of the bike.

Not if she bumped into his tyre.

Her back right quarter panel made about 1 inch of mating with my rear tire. Literally she heard the tap and it tumbled over :(

On a positive note, I spoke with her and the surgeon she works with today and the doctor said he would cut me a check this week. Helluva nice guy. He is about 6' 9" so a thank you ride on the R is out of the question. He has a few victory's, and an '02 V-Rod to add to his collection of beauties. My favorite vehicle of his is a Supercharged 2013 Corvette Grand Sport he had done by ECS. Typically I'm a pretty pessimistic dude, but I have a good feeling this money will be all squared away by months end. At least I hope.

Im not sure If I said this in my original post, but when she saw it fall she stopped, and ran to the outside window of the surgeons office crying her eyes out and he came out and lifted the bike properly for her.

On the MILF issue- yes, she's looking pretty good for 32 and two kids. Best of all is she can stand being around me (which pretty hard to find, lol). I like my bikes new and unused, while I prefer my women a little older and more matured. I don't have time for the ........ games these girls in their late teens/early 20's play...

Glad things for you finally seem to have turned around. :D
Now if only it wouldn't take weeks to get oem parts from italy :'(
Riding around with a flying around seat cowl isn't gonna be cool for two weeks...

Kudos to u Dylan considering what happened.. Good karma is sure to help you..
