I am currently looking to buy a back and chest protector. My natural inclination is to just buy one from Mantis from the big D, but as I learned with the boots that might not be the best choice. So I wanted to come ask my Ducati brethren.

I was thinking about the Knox Agis or Meta-Sys both in v14. I love the gloves and Knox get good reviews. Then the forcefield products come up. Also the Mantis is a option. I think I am leaning toward the Knox products.

Back Protectors

for street use, I upgraded both my alpinestars jackets to the new alpinestars nucleon vented armor. It's CE Level 2 cerified, inexpensive and very comfortable.

If your looking for track armor, you have alot to chose from... ballistic mesh jackets with built in armor, individual pieces like i have or back protector-kidney belt combo with shoulder straps.

There are likely to be alot of opinions here. After you find a informed retailer, purchase the product that's comfortable and suits your riding needs.

In general I like alpinestars, dianese and held riding gear.
Good Luck with your search.

What I wear on street and track and what I recommend is the Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4.
Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 - RevZilla
It provides a huge amount of protection and is very comfortable to wear. It molds to your body and enables airflow through the unit.
Just make sure it will fit under your leathers. It is a thick unit, and if you have tight leathers it is unlikely to fit under them.
