Frosty hits a deer, and over here on the east coast, I got taken out by a stick in the road right at corner entry that I somehow didn't see. Stick was about the size of a TP tube. Wasn't even going fast (45 mph), but because it happened right at turn-in, it slammed me down on my head and shoulder. Gear spared me from the worst of it, but I've got a broken rib and collar bone. Bike is toast. I'll be doing crash reviews of all of my gear when I get it all back and photographed.

I'm in good spirits though, hoping I can buy the salvage and resurrect the Panigale as a track bike. Will be looking at either another Panigale or a Multistrada for the street.

Well...I was dreading having to spend the whole weekend with 45 cub scouts (I'm a leader so I have to go).

Looks like I missed out on the opportunity to add my name to the list. Thank goodness!

Hopefully you recover fully and quickly. Always hate to hear these stories as that stick can be on any road anywhere.

Glad to hear the injuries weren't worse, and that your in good spirits. I wish a fast recovery, and look forward to your gear review.

I glad your okay and wish you a speedy recovery.
I saw a deer last weekend on my ride and it freak me out but I was fortunate he didn't jump in front of me

Speedy recovery and get back to riding. Glad you are ok, for the most part. Keep us posted.

when we rode over to the Mosel, between eupen and monshau going through the woods, a big mama deer had just crossed 150 m away... just saw her when she turned her head and the light refelcted in her eyes... kept it quit... :)

Sucks!! Will you be getting the titanium upgrade in your shoulder??

Glad you can still be here to tell the story. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I consider it a good weekend since you're still with us and telling us about it. I've had 3 spills (1 bad) and walked away feeling good. Good because I was able to come home to my family and because it was a humbling experience and feel that I'm a better person because of it.

Glad to hear that you're doing ok!

Oh... sorry to hear that...
Nowadays we need to keep an eyes on the road more carefully.
Two Panigales were down and mine was also gone...

Get well soon!
