Hey,

Does anyone know if the plug on the left side of 1199 can be used as a charger. I know its used to charge the battery just wondering if it can also be used to charged phone

My guess is that the plug is a battery tender plug. Newport Beach Ducati added one to mine, too.

I heard the same thing.... does anyone have the connector already in use ?

mine come standard and the dealership gave me a charger with the bike :)

That is a self installed right ? Near the battery.... I am not sure about the under seat solution as when I am riding I connect with a scalar rider to my iphone that I keep under the passenger seat area.... I was told that one can also charge the phone when riding at the same time.... anyone have feedback there ?

I bought my S model from Fraser's in Sydney, and they gave me a battery trickle charger to plug in to this cable. Don't quote me on this, but they seemed to indicate the cable was fitted by Fraser's, and not standard out of Ducati in Italy. So this feature might be dealer or country specific, and is not necessarily on every bike.

And I have no idea if you can charge your phone from it. But I doubt it.

Most dealers in the UK will fit an Optimate lead as part of the PDI. Optimate tend to be industry standard in the UK for battery tenders.

I've hooked up a lead which I connect up when riding that charges my iPhone. I made the lead myself using an iPhone lead and cigarette lighter.

I'll post up some pictures next my bike went for service today nd not bal till next week.

I've done the same. Cable tucks up in behind left main fairing, then have iPhone lead plugged into the cigarette socket.

For those in the UK you can buy a cable off eBay, type in 'Optimate cigarette' and it will come up with the cable you need.
