Put these bad boys on from Shift-tech. Honestly it eliminated the final piece of the dreaded heat for me. As with everything Carbon Fiber from Shift-tech it is flawless.
1. Reduce subframe heat by a lot! No burn at all.
2. Easy to install
3. Looks good

I added extra heat reflective tape.

Recommend it to anyone who has heat issues with the subframe.

Good job Shifty:)

Awesome. These have been on my list as well. The matte ones though.....;)
All of Shift techs stuff is top notch:cool:

ive had these the minute they came out so since about june. i honestly dont see any difference at all with the heat. all they do for me is look good. boy do they look good though. mine are gloss as well. what is stopping your heat in my opinion is the engine block covers. they made a significant difference but i dont think it has anything to do with the shift tech product.

oh and i had them on before i got the engine block covers put on. just curious did you do the engine block covers at the same time?

Looks sharp!!!! In my past, I worked with CF part time and before I had a vacum bagging process sorted to get that gloss finish (worked on numerous designs, motorbikes, car dashes, door trims, seats, recumberance bicycles etc), I used automotive 2 PAC clear coat on a sanded clear gelcoat Matt finish bought it up superb, or sand with a fine grade sandpaper then cut and polish.

I disagree because I burned my hand against the subframe last week while I was working on my bike and taking test runs around the block. I remember a post where Frosty burned/blistered his leg and complained it was the subframe and he had the engine covers also. I didn't think the subframe got that hot until until I burned my hand and until i put these on and now I notice a huge difference. The engine heat shield and CF Subframe covers equals no more heat on the thighs. I rode my bike yesterday and today in town to get the engine temp up as hot as my bike would go 220F to test it and you could touch the CF without burning your hand/leg.

Had the engine block covers on for a while. March/April time frame

Scrapper very interesting I never touched the subframe but u may be right. I burnt my leg on the suspension thing where the wires come out of on the s. So I don't doubt that they do get hot. Just never noticed it. I can tell u this though my cf rear huger gets hot as he'll from the new heat shield. But it's holding up for now. Although I have a small bubble but it's hard to notice

My rear hugger is showing a little brown right underneath the header. Its noticeable in direct sunlight. Ducati gave me another one under warranty but I haven't installed it yet I am waiting until it gets worse.

All carbon'd up now. You could probably buy another 1199 with the amount of carbon on that machine.
