Best rearsets for the Panigale V4

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I'm running Bonamici, the race pegs you can get for them for them are ridiculously good. Though they are so sharp and grippy they may damage to soles of my boots in time though hahaha.

Something to be aware of... I like mine in the highest and most rearward position possible. Even in this configuration, I can't get the gear shifter low enough without hitting the kick stand.

I have no idea how anyone with the pegs any lower get on. This is not only an issue with Bonamici, it affects most other rearset brands too.

Can you elaborate on this issue? (Pictures maybe) I appear to have the same problem with mine with the stock shift change pattern (ie lever hits kickstand when selecting first gear of changing down the box) It may be that you might need to try using a different length of link rod, as the one Bonamici supplies may not allow you to adjust the gear change lever angle sufficiently, for any given rear set position.

Normally I would always recommend CNC Racing, then Lightech. But in this case I think I would recommend the new Gilles Tooling design. They actually have the most adjustments to them and go as low as 1.4 inches. And the best part about them is you dont have to unscrew anything to adjust them. This is the newest design to any rear sets on the market. You just push and rotate to where you want them to be. Here is a link to the gilles tooling site. I will shoot you a PM Rearset MUE2, schwarz

Would you be kind enough to post up some pictures of them fitted, especially the LH rearsets with the side stand up, to show clearance to the gear change lever on downshift (road shift pattern) or upshifts if in GP shift setup.

This message was from Gilles Tooling about there rearsets using on the V4R. Does anyone know what part he is talking about?

"The rearset fits only for the V4R if a special screw kit is bought directly at the Ducati spare parts catalogue. This is a kit to be used with any aftermarket rearset on the V4R, so it is a regular kit within the official Ducati spare parts range."
On the V4R There is an adjustable swingarm pivot, the pivot has a locking screw that sticks out, in order to fit aftermarket rearset a flush mounted screw needs to be fitted, it's a Ducati part that can be ordered through your dealership.

Also not all aftermarket rearset fit the V4R even if you use the recessed bolt, the housing for the adjustable swingarm pivot is larger than the std v4

I was actually proven wrong. The Attack rear sets give you more positions than the Gilles rear sets. However if you are 5'11 or shorter than the gilles would be perfect. Here is a link to Gilles. Click on the link. You will see how the foot pegs arent removed. They sort of rotate into the position you would like Rearset MUE2, schwarz

Went with Gilles tooling with back and forth evaluation’s between the rizoma/OEM.

one bolt to adjust horizontal and vertical adjustment. that feature will help between street cruising and track riding.

Thats one of the cool features about the Gilles Tooling. I sold 5 sets to guys with V4's because of that feature. But Im not sure if it was that feature or the price I gave them that sold them on it lol

Invite them to pitch in, would help the forum to live on...

ive been the fan of Gilles tooling since 2011 when BMW ask them to do their HP accessories for them..

to be honest, I was
was Looking for a change for this time around, rizoma would of step up, I probably went with them....

i went with the rizoma's. i found that you can occasionally find a deal on them that bring then in line with other top rear sets in terms of cost. There is plenty of adjustment too. perhaps too much for my taste. i was able to get them where i want them and i do not have any issues with GP shift.

I like the look of these at least in pictures. Did you have any fitting difficulties with the Gilles? As Topolino requested, any clearance problems when the sidestand is up? Do you need to buy any parts additional to the MUE2-D01 kit such as brake light switch?

I had no parts needs to replaced, however I had to modify the length of my QS rod, extending rather.
no rubbing issues brake lights works great, seems like in OEM position

Thanks TsaiCo. I have ordered a set - now to see if they actually arrive. Went to order from Gilles in Germany but at checkout discovered freight almost AUD $400!!!!! Did they ever get over the war??? Ordered from a seller in England for a few $ more and the freight was AUD $50. Too good to be true? Will find out I suppose.

FYI I’m running GP shift on my bike. If that’s any difference in clearance

Anyone had experience with the OEM/rizoma rearset? Installation? Or shifting issues?

After about a year, my Rizoma DP started having issues with downshifting

You could have ordered from Motovation USA or Motomillion.
