Best Riding Music?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Anything by FFDP, Disturbed, Shinedown, Volbeat, A7X, Korn & Metallica.
Occasionally a little Three Days Grace, Thousand Foot Krutch.

Basically anything loud as hell that gets my blood going.

I keep my sleepy ass country music for when I'm in my car -_-

thats what i listen to thru my scala rider G9 com, i prefer the wireless ear buds!

I listen to techno/trance. Generally makes me go too fast. Though honestly, I only listen to music when I'm putting around in safe conditions. Heavy traffic or spirited mountain riding, I don't listen to music.

every time i listen to trance or techno it always reminds me of all the strip clubs i visited then twist the throttle and ooohh yeaaahhhh!!!

Maybe that's why I've been seeing my bike as a dirty little whore that costs me too much money. But I keep putting more money into it, because I think it really likes me.

Not that I have ever been to a strip club ..;)..but I hear those strippers are great actresses....:)

Rick..Do you speak from experience???

Hey, don't knock it. Back when I lived in Santa Monica, a bud told we should go to Chippendales. Looked at him funny, and he said they let guys in after 10 after "the show" was over; said it was great. Turned out he was right. Think about it; bar full of drunk women who had just gotten their motors revved up by pro's. Ah yes, I remember Chips with great fondness...

I always ride with music I have a very wide musical taste. I have today been listening to Elgar whilst in Worcester /Malvern, the scenery and area dictated the music.

Roxy Music, M People, Fleetwood Mac, Beegees, ELO, Abba, Corrs, Eagles
Corelli, Vivaldi, Telemann, Albinoni, Handel and so and so forth

Rick Cua Blues Councel on multistrada.net composed a lovely song called 'Red Motorcycle' he is an American you might like to listen to it on itunes

Yet another thread revival :)

Last week I was in Almeria/Spain on their track.

It's now the 4th time for me in my life to ride on a racing circuit, and I can't get enough. It's sooooooo cool! You racing guys are my silent heroes. I already bought a VW T5 Transporter and started to get all required equipment for a good time at the track. Tire warmers are not required yet, I'm still too slow and ride on street SC2's. But I organized tension belts for mounting the Panis in the car, mounting ramp, seats, carpets for dressing without getting the leather suit getting scratched and dirty... stuff like that.

One thing I realised what's definitely required in a shared pit box is music! :)
There were two Russian hobby racing teams in the same pit box, 7 others were Germany and me from Switzerland. The Russians shouted VERY loud all day long to each other, even during noon. They must have severe problems with their ears: all the other guys almost went crazy but still kept very polite (I felt the increasing rascism in the box, even thou everybody kept calm).

So, I decided to prep myself for next time: Bought a "Bosch GML 50 Professional". These kind of devices are normally used on construction sites, but I find it ideal for my purpose of listening music that helps focussing me.
It also allows connecting a USB device (for music), any 12V load (car plug), accumulators for Bosch tools, and two line loads (e.g. tire warmers). And you can throw it around without destroying it :)

On the best ear buds I've had to-date ($8 Skull Candy I bought at TJ Maxx), I rock:

90's hip hop (the real hip hop)
Chevelle
FFDP
Tool/APC
Offspring (I can't believe I haven't seen Offspring on the first page of this thread!)
Deftones
A few select Skynrd tracks
Metallica
Korn
311
Limp Bizkit
Seether

I think that's most of it. Got about 400 or so songs on shuffle, which reminds me to load up the new phone!
