????????????

I didn't spend $22,000+ on an Italian superbike to listen to cheesy music. I'll just hop in my Mustang If I wanted that.
Metallica
Megadeath
Nirvana
RATM
(all sure to make me speed)
Natalie Imbruglia
Brantley Gilbert
(not so much speed)

It's sad to hear that people listen to music while riding! The sound of the engine is pure symphony to me. When I ride not a thought goes through my head. I don't look at the gauges to see my rpm speed or gear. I just ride!

Hey Fellas (and Lady Dutchess),

I never used to ride with music (since 1989) but started doing it when I moved back to Florida and the roads are just so straight and boring to get to the few twisties. Now I rather enjoy it and am looking to add to my playlist and wanted to know what you guys think are the best riding songs.

Of course this will have varied opinions and depends on your age and inclination, but gotta start somewhere. I'm an old rocker at heart but enjoy all genres - except Gospel :p:

Red Barchetta - Rush (this is my favorite imagery of blitzing mountain roads on any motorcycle)
Working Man - Rush (they just groove so hard on this song, it fits when you're "in the groove" on a mountain road)
Voodoo Chile - Stevie Ray Vaughan version
You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
Bodies - Drowning Pool (best pit box pre-race/track session "amp-up" music)
How Soon is Now? - The Smiths
Forty Six & 2 - Tool
All My Life - Foo Fighters

For the relaxing ride home - Little Wing or Riviera Paradise - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Let's hear your favorites, I need new music!

Shoot to thrill - AC/DC
Bat out of hell

having said that I do not actually listen to music riding as I have to wear earplugs to slow down the Akra noise. I also find it a bit distracting and tend to concentrate on the road due to all the idiots in cars that say 'sorry mate I did not see you'
