The EVO line is the top shelf WSBK spec stuff. I is not the GP4 RR. The EVO uses 30/34mm pistons and has to be used with the EVO Master which is 17/18. The GP4 RR is a 34/36mm piston and can use the standard 18/19 lever. Regardless both these calipers are 108mm only so unless your going to swap forks or you have 108s already they will not work. Additionally the EVOs are race pieces only and have to be services accordingly and can only be sold to individuals under some with some restrictions (complete BS but that's what they say) and you need special rotor spacers to run these. So in a nutshell, no you don't want these. They would be complete overkill for just about everything and you would have to service them which requires constant removal, checking etc. Not saying you cannot run these on the street but they are a bit of work. The GP4 RX looks similar, is a 2 piece 4x32mm and works with RCS and comes in 100mm. That's a better choice for the street. The stock M50 is a great caliper regardless. For the street and track, it is way more brake than I could tax and unless you have to have some shiny things hanging off your fork legs, I would keep them. I use what i use because its part of the intended application and I'm probably a bit impractical due to the ability to be so.

Ever hear of Thorsten Durbahn? Guy used to make some crazy lightweight specials (as in sub 300 pound 999's etc). Not sure how much he is doing these days, but maybe worth sending an email for any ideas or products he has devised for the Panigale.

This is inspiring. Listen fellas, you cannot take it with you. Crush it whilst you can!

There is something being done for sure. It's a natural evolution and something other than a L twin seems logical. For me right now there is a lot left in the current platform. Hell my Honda is 9 years old and scares the crap out of me. Sometimes you have to stick with a platform and go do it. I physically and skillfully will never ever be able to match even a stock 1199/1299 in terms of rider/machine interface so I'm good with the twin. It's a great motor when it is assembled correctly with correctly matched components and maintained accordingly. when a new platform does come out it will go through a maturation phase anyhow and that may take a year or two but it will happen for sure.

RD16, I'm dedicating this build to you as you were partially instrumental in motivating me to get off my ... and finally build something decent. Additionally I had the opportunity to sit down with someone from DNA and I'm fairly confident the big twin will be around for a bit otherwise I would have waited for a new platform.

I am humbled !! - Enjoy the process completely, with all it brings your way - the readers here obviously await your moves.....as do I ;)

Those calipers sure look nice !!

dude got all the hate comments when he said the new SL is unimpressive. now he is here to show the world he will build a ultimate monster. i am very excited and wanna see what the outcome will be look like.

Whatever happened to Kope999r? His R was ridiculously modded. No longer active on here.

Kope is still on the bike, seen posts of him and his Pani-team on tracks in europe

When I went back reading Kope's build, there were some giving him a bunch of crap. Probably why he sticks to other forums now.

He Built some great stuff. Wish there were more "tech" oriented projects going on. Takes time and $$. I have a lot of car guys close to me doing stuff but very few bike guys except for the Harley stuff

Love watching the builds and seeing how different minds work and what they produce. Great for ideas, daydreams, and also educational.

@Endodoc: Aaaaaawwwwsome parts!! But building a Ti-trellis frame is really a massive challenge, wow. I am absolutely sure you'll create something outstanding.
Can't wait to see your ideas on the air intake and of course the fuel tank. With a new frame you're completely open for new design approaches (to improve weight and position of center of gravity).
Wow.
