And you confirm my exact point, the liberal logic...if I just play along and give him what he wants I am destined to be a safe victim...Here is a few of the questions that goes thru your mind...

What did I do to make him this mad
What if I just push my wife in the way
Can I run
Should I grab the gun
Can I reason with him
Should I feel honored he picked me

What if others were dying ? If you were at one of the perpetual victim zones like Sandy Hook or Newtown would you defend other against a man with a gun, or should they lay there like sheep too and hope he suddenly stops shooting ? Would you pick up a gun then ?

Next will be :

What if he takes my gun
I dont think he wants to really hurt me (Oh you said that)
I am confident he will see my inner peace

Liberalism is a mental disorder. You really should get therapy. Then a gun.

Oh...I grabbed a quick article from a neo liberal paper for you to think about:
Teen guilty of murdering Georgia baby in stroller
Whew, glad the armed robber didnt hurt anyone.

Call it what you want. Your attempt to justify your point could do without insults. I don't need to read about all these stories and make ridiculous attempts at putting myself in hypothetical scenarios such as the examples you used. All your points could easily be seen on the flip side. You're getting way off topic here with your examples since they are not similar scenarios. Being held up at gun point like this biker was is in no way shape or form the same as some mass killing going on while you have time to pull out your own weapon or pick up someones weapon and use it then. No one can say how they would react in those situations because it is all hypothetical. We're talking about a thief wanting your bike, not some mindfucked psycho who is killing people for some unexplained reason. You're trying to make a point but don't use apples and oranges as an example.

Soooo....you're not gonna answer ?

And I'm pretty sure you told me to go out and be a test dummy first. That kinda opened it up.

But again...when you dont like the narrative, call names and then change the discussion. Read Alinsky much ?

The only thing I will add to this can of worms is to say that it belies belief that anyone who lives in the Usa would presume to preach to anyone..in any country.. with regards to Guns/Guns control/Murders etc.... We have such huge issues....

Right. Cause I said he was scared and need to move somewhere else.

I should just sit here quietly and let the liberals own the conversation.

Check.

What the hell would you know Mr. Moderator STEVE! :D

I'm definitely done talkin about this topic for sure.

Haaaaaaa.....Wilkson, I was JUST about to write that after the link.

When you dont like what you read admonish the source. LOL...

"Oh well...that cant be a true stat"

Come onnnnnn double0...It was a good conversation !....No harm meant !

(unless I was an armed robber)

This is one of those agree to disagree topics. I'm not into politics one bit. That's all a scam anyway but that's another story. A healthy debate is something I can do and at times enjoy. A pointless discussion where nothing will come of it is something I can definitely do without. I'll never see your point since your scenarios are apples vs. oranges and you'll never see my side since I'm too liberal. That's where we stand. I'm not offended on a personal level by your points although it may come off that way via the interwebs. It's all good. You win.

See, I broke my word when I said I'm done. Guess I'm done now.

But...I wouldn't...A property crime is just that. Property. It can be replaced. I sure wouldnt shoot someone at all while stealing my Panigale.

If I was ON IT while they did it then it becomes a persons crime. In Louisiana (My state in USA) you CAN defend a persons crime with deadly force if you reasonably believe your life or the life of a third party is in jeopardy. OR to defend your home (Castle doctrine). And since the motorcycle, and car, is an extension of your home here...you see where I am going.

But, I sure the fu@k wouldn't allow someone to put a gun in my face and just be a sheep and lay down and try to psychoanalyze what went on in this poor soul's live to drive him to this point of violence. I would take the necessary steps to ensure I survived the encounter with someone having the unknown intent of possibly taking my life.

One thing people forget is that being armed can prevent you from becoming a victim. Criminals look for "soft targets". In a state that allows concealed carry, everyone is a potential "hard target".

Example:
I carry every day, Beretta PX4 compact chambered in .40 cal. IWB holster that doesn't imprint on my clothes even in a plain white undershirt.

About a month ago I had the bike loaded up in the back of my truck and stopped at a strore around 10 pm. When I parked the truck I noticed another truck parked in the lot with one guy behind the wheel, one guy walking around the lot. I walked in, got what I needed to get and headed back out. When I walked out, the driver was out of the truck and the guy walking around had his phone to his ear to my right. The driver moved around to the passenger side of his truck facing my truck. I heard the guy buy the door pace about 15 steps behind me, turned to look at him and he slowed and veered off to my right. Seeing as how I may be confused with a "soft target" I walked to the back of my truck to "check" that my bike was secure and wouldn't fall over. When I climbed the tailgate I leaned farther foward than needed so my shirt would come up and pulled it back down when I was in the bed. After I checked the bike and turned around, one guy was back in the passenger seat and the driver was starting the truck. They left the lot before I opened my door.

Now, were they a threat? I can't say for certain. Could they have been a threat? Absolutely. Did I pull my pistol out of fear for my life? Nope. Did I get into a firefight over a fully insured motorcycle? Nope. Did the fact that I was armed have an effect on the potential threat? Absolutely.

That is the statistic gun hate groups forget to include. How many potential "victims" are never engaged based on the fact they may not be such an easy target?

It actually IS a great place. If I heard someone breaking in my back door at 2am, I can dial 911 and retrieve my SIG and protect my family

You can dial 000 (911) and play hide and seek praying that they arrive in time.
Or you can grab your sword (oh, they are banned), or your paintball gun (oh you need a permit to own one)...Just get under the bed and be quiet.

I prefer my version.

(and as double0 said...Since you cant hear my tone or inflection with the written word...I am not saying this mean, I actually laughed when I read your last one and started typing back)

NOLA

We just yell out . What you looking at .... . Seems to work most the time it's a vicious word . I love reading all your accounts of your near missus of a gun battle .
Got any more ?

I'll tell you a near missed mugging story if you promise to recount that night you shadowboxed a kangaroo with a Fosters can in both hands.

(I have no idea how ya'll do smiley faces on here, but here is my attempt)

:)

I know, I have a couple of Aussie buddies...they referred to it as "a can of piss"

And ordered a Bud Light.

Hi there .... Ring . It's actually afternoon here .
Have you seen these yet?

That's the first personal account I've shared, but I wouldn't classify it as a near miss of a gun battle. I can post up some Iraq/Afghanistan firefights for your reading enjoyment if you'd like!

So, no ...., there I was....

I'd be an ..... to carry while riding. That's just stupid IMO. If you're fully insured, take the bike. It is not that serious. Last thing I'd want to do is get in a potential gun fight over something I could replace right away. My life on the other hand, not so much. Here are the keys and have a nice ride Mr. Thief.

Thief did get what he deserved though. I would have rubbed it in his face and laughed while hovering over his ... while he layed there on the ground. That's what he gets. Thieves are scums of the earth. I don't like the word hate AT ALL but thieves, I HATE THEM! They want something of yours they don't have or could afford so they take what you worked hard to purchase. HATE fits the bill here. I am 100% certain his buddy that got away will think twice about committing a robbery again after being a first hand witness to this outcome. Fled the scene with the quickness.

So what happens when you let the guy go and tomorrow the face who has his handgun in it is your wife or kid. You gonna be glad you just "let him go" then...? Probably not. If you're carrying and can stop the threat- do so!
The ............ deserved a double tap to the frontal lobe after being put to the ground like the dog he is. Insured or not, if you have even the slightest opportunity to disable the threat, DO SO! These scumbags in these countries do this all day everyday. I'm glad somebody had the balls to fire upon the subject.

We need more happy endings like this. You put a firearm in my face and rob me and you will need to say a few Hail Mary's.
