What are your EBC, DTC, Electronic suspension at for Street canyon riding at?
THX
THX
I only use one set of settings.
Power: 195 Hi
ABS: 4
DTC: 3
EBC: 3
I won't post suspension settings because you are not me, so they're irrelevant.
Turn the EBC off, it's way smoother on the throttle release
Read this thread, I tried it out last weekend(EBC set to 'OFF') and it was night and day difference to me ..Never thought to try that. Always assumed it would have gobs of engine braking with no intervention and the 1200 cc's dragging.
EBC set to off.
I now run with the engine power mode set to 195 HI.
I've recently settled on the above settings in order to improve the smoothness of the bike.
DTC set to 3.
Or what ever is the least intrusive for you.
I would recommend just keep moving the DTC up another level from the default settings until you get to where you are happy with it, as you get more comfortable with how hard you want to push it on your roads.
Suspension settings in sport mode are the same as default wet settings(we have rough patchy roads).
Yep, I've found it to be the best so far.
Initially I had settled on the EBC set at 3, and have left it at that until recently.
After switching EBC off, the situation was much improved.
In combination with the engine mode in 195 HI, I can ride it smoother.
It's especially good when riding aggressively.
Just plat around with it and see what works best.
I think there is a general move to these settings for the EBC and engine power mode, as we all become more familiar with the 1199 and share our experiences
Thanks for the info. What do you have your suspension settings at? I weigh 155. Anyone in that range?
You are exactly right about turning EBC off making the bike smoother. I have a 2015 1299, and it used to be jerky going through corners and would feel like it was going to stall between 4300 to 4600 rpm. I turned EBC off, and the bike is very smooth. You really don't get a lot of engine braking with it off.EBC set to off.

never thought of turning EBC off, i was on track last Sat, a few big fish tails while braking and downshifting. Will try EBC off next time out
on downshifting, do you blip? feather the clutch? or just let the slipper do all the work?
All of the above?
