Hey there. So yesterday went to the gas station and filled her up and about 20mins later she started jerking really bad. Stoped, turned the bike off and then turned it back on and it was fine to get home.
Today same thing happened. Called my local dealer and they told me to turn the DQS off. That worked and ran fine. To see if the DQS was the issue I turned it back on for the ride home and it ...... probably twice on the way home but other than that it was fine.
To clear things up, I have had no issue with the quickshifter even when it was jerking around it was fine. Has anyone experienced this before??. Got me thinking it might be dirty fuel or something in the tank.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys

There have been others on here, including myself, that have had this happen due to faulty quick shifters. I'd take it in if it's on warranty and get it looked at. If it's the same issue that me and a few others had, it can get really bad and dangerous.

Not saying that's for sure the issue, but it sounds a lot like it from what you're describing. Especially if it resolved itself when you disabled it.

Just had a warning light come up on the dash then. Thanks for the reply. Already booked in at the dealer next week for them to have a look at it. All under warranty so should be easy. Thanks again

Alrighty so dealer said. It's a faulty quickshifter. Apparently it kept thinking I wanted to shift gears so therefore the jerkiness I felt whilst riding. All under warranty so getting a new one soon. Was able to take bike home with me for the meantime. Just riding around with the quickshifter off, which shouldn't affect it

Glad they found the problem. Mine was doing the same jerking and it would stall as well. It ended up being the rear speed sensor and cable. The cable was hitting the tire.

Have heard of the rear sensor cables being loose will check mine to make sure they are all good

jerking

yeah mine did it had it at dealer they did the speed sensor recall . and it did it again at about 4k rpm it started jerking i pulled in the clutch and it died . went to the next stop sign and it died again . 3 days off and i get to ride 1/2 of one .

Mine's been acting up a little too (again) but the dealer hasn't been able to reproduce the problem. Please post an update once you get it diagnosed and fixed. I'd be interested to hear what it is.

FYI, I turn the DQS off on the street. I have experienced what you have described with DQS off. It's intermittent. I brought this to the attention of my dealership. We could not recreate the problem while they had the bike (go figure).

Have you found the issue of this behaviour?

My V4 S is constantly jerky at 6000 rpm and above, at 10 000 rpm very jerky..
Even during higher rpm in acceleration.

Wonder if this might be some symptoms of the DQS beeing faulty?
Tried the bike today with DQS turned off and it behaved a little bit cleaner but still jerky at the higher rpm..

If it’s the quick shifter it should be 100% cured when DQS is disabled. Sounds like something else.

I believe there's a technical service bulletin out for the quick shifter
