Has anyone wired any accessories on their bikes, Dash Cam, battery tender or USB Charger?

I want to wire in the Blueskysea BM1 camera took off the fairing to get to the battery and didn't go any further when I saw the wiring behind there. :(

Any tips appreciated

optimate makes a few fused taps to the battery in 16ga and 18ga with 'waterproof' SAE connectors. fine for low current loads. mine is strapped to the clutch slave line as installed by the dealer. (always fuse at the battery)

you can run an extension up to the front fairing for your usb or dash cam and unplug it for charging. you wont need the dash cam if you are charging your bike. your wiring will be fixed so these little wires will be fine for a few amps. the more strands, the less current capacity for the same gauge.

there is a wiring tray on the port side frame near the headstock but you will need high temp zip ties.

junipel makes some nice high temp cloth tape but you'll need to shrink wrap the ends. (or use texflex)

Clicky click to their USB adapters as they have many types. Cheap converters will let some AC through and smoke your battery.

mike on bikes and fortnine have good vids on frames per second so you can actually do slow-motion clearly.

personally, i see them as a necessity.....but i would need to 'wipe it with a cloth' after some drives.

My comment is specifically to the UK market.

I had an innov v2 on my Diavel and bought it for safety etc. HOWEVER if you are pulled over in the UK the Camera / storage chip can be confiscated By the police and used against you (they can give u a speeding ticket over the last 6 months if they have proof). However that is not the case if u have the camera on your person... Hence for the v2 I am looking as a different set up. I a, not a fan of cameras on helmets so am thinking of Plan B, C, D and E. :)
Anyway, just a point to consider.

That is harsh!!!

The new Innovv K3 has a remote control that they say allows you to factory default the unit. I'm not sure if that also erases the card or not, but I'll be looking into that for my next bike. I have the K2 cams on all five of my current bikes.

That sounds a little oppressive on the control side over there. It Seems to be a trend in a lot of places. In northern Italy they’re getting overzealous with surveillance cameras.

I always ensure my Ducs come with tender leads, and then I just plug in any electronics to that connection. When not riding, only thing plugged in is battery tender.
