Had engine rebuild on my Multistrada at 21500 miles (had since new) 5 months left on extended warrantee. Started looking for a replacement then test rode and bought the Super Tenere. Had trouble bonding! Put some farkles on him and had it chipped now he is has more bhp and instant on the throttle. Still an ugly duckling tho

I recall they made a special edition in red/white GP colours that looked pretty :)

Btw, thread moved to appropriate sub.

You won't regret it. That ST won't have as many problems in 121500 miles as your MS had in 100. :)

Duchess,
ya need to post some pictures of your new bike,, and as we all know all bikes are fun. we need a ride report too.

Darryl

Going to second that. You can't add farkles without showing them off!

Ride report as well!

I hear ya!
My youngest son arriving tonight and tomorrow we testing several Yamaha bikes, he is wanting a bike again now he can afford it. So, looking forward to riding with him again and yes I will get him to take pics and I will find time to do ride report.
It's hammering down here hope it dries up for tomorrow

wow an engine rebuild after only 21,500 miles (34,600kms), that's really bad, I hope I get a lot more than that out of my 1199...

so why are you planning on going to a multistrada meet then ;) ?

Hey Duchess, I did some reading on the Super Tenere yesterday and looks like a fun bike. Give us a ride report when you can and ride safe.

Darryl

The 2005 1000sds was one previous owner, I think I put abt 16,000miles on it prob had 6000 on to start with when I bought it.
The 1100 I bought new I put 32,500 miles on it.

Was out testing various bikes yesterday with my youngest son. We sat at a bikers cafe and I said to him I still miss the Multi the Multi is a crowd gatherer as is the Panigale

A crowd of admirers or a crowd of mechanics? Both? :)

The Yam ST gets a lot of respect from the FJR guys. A lot of them replace their FJRs for them.

May do the same myself one day.

Mmm I ride better than writing, maybe video footge will be better!
Trouble is a bought Michael a new bike in March and now I am busy working 60+ hours I can't find time to ride.
Ah well buy now worry later !
I will try

I traded-in my 2012 Panigale for the 2014 Multistrada Pikes Peak. Will take delivery next weekend after they spend a couple of days installing aftermarket accessories and full Termignoni (just had entire exhaust Jet-Hot coated black) I actually made the transaction July 1st. Very excited.
