Took my 999 to shop for new belts and tune up. While I was there asked about 1199, salesman said that they just got one in that day that was not spoken for a base w/ABS. Told him to see what we could do on trade. The short of it, I got the bike 2 days ago. After everything that I read I was worried that I would lose low end torque but I was wrong. The Pani pulls great off the line, seems to have more low end than the 999. 
Only dislike is that it seems to be hotter on legs than 999 but then I don't like to ride in temps above 85F so should not be much of a problem. Hopefully they will figure out better shielding on back exhaust tube as this is the major source of problem.
