Anyone have a recommendation for brake lines to go with the RCS master? I tried the Fren kit but rear line was too short. Then the longer clip ons made it to where the stock front line won’t reach the front master since it’s set over a little farther to the right.

Or better to just order a custom line set?

For custom, Brad at Motion SBK in McKinney, Texas is a great resource. PM me for contact info.

I build all my own lines same stainless swivel fittings that Motion SBK uses which come from BMRS. They can build the lines as well for less costs and they leak check them.

I bought pre made lines along with ABS delete from Ducati Omaha. Everything worked really well, good fit.

I found a workaround for the stock brake line from the master. Just rerouted it to the other side of the fork leg. Seems to have done the trick. Still going to get some new lines either way and probably get rid of the ABS, tired of the soft lever.

Were you able to fit the RCS with the stock controls or is that was necessitated the longer clip-on bars?

I fit the RCS with duca bike clip ons. The stock clip ons would had been fine too but I wanted some adjustable clip ons

I picked up a carbon fiber reservoir mounting kit from Mick since you have to rearrange all that. You also will need new control switches, I went with the duca bike ones. All seems to fit now that I moved the brake line over.
Feels a lot firmer than stock, will see how it behaves on the track in a few weeks. Definitely a better firmer feel with it just sitting in the garage.

Oh same deal with the RCS clutch slave. Mick’s mounting kit set the reservoir in the right spot.

One thing I noticed with RCS compared to stock, these get air out of the lines a .... load easier. Couple pumps with the bleeder open was all it took. Liking the clutch feel, not that I use it ever anyway….

Long story, but on my 21' after I replaced all of the fluid with 660F and installed a banjo style switch for the clutch the lever feels so much better. Prior to that, I had a bit of air that I couldn't bleed out. You could hear it when you pulled it in. But, one day after I went for a ride I noticed it wasn't there anymore. I don't know what to make of the self bleed nonsense. It seems to have worked to a degree. But, after a full replacement with 660F and a proper bleed the lever has weight to it and feels much better. It got me in this loop where I wonder what could be done with the brake. RCS seems like a great solution, but cost prohibitive.

But, my big gripe is with the rear brake. No feeling at all. I'd speculate that if the spring has more tension to it you could feel where it engaged better.

Are you running the stock rear brake? I set this rear brake up initially 5 years ago and It’s been bulletproof. I don’t use a spring. I have 2.5mm (see pedal stop)between off and on and the pedal is rock solid.

Front I’m using this master, straight to the calipers. Rock solid lever, never needs bleeding, fluid is a clear as the day it went in,insane braking

My lines are so good I don’t ever use my rear brake haha jk.

I probably won’t bother with my rear brakes. I won’t be doing too much more to this bike. I have my R1 race build I just started. Engine is in pieces right now so my focus will shift to that for the off season. Only a few more track days on the v4 this season.

Rear master is a Brembo PS 13. On the lines if you really want a custom fit, it’s easy to make your own. I use Aeroquip -3 line, whatever color shrink sleeve you want and Aeroquip -3 stainless fittings. If it’s QR I use Staubli aluminum or Ti depending on the application. Doing your own lines is easy and allows you creative flexibility.

I think I am running a 45 degree swivel fitting on my PS13 master side its kind of a weird angle coming off of it following the contour of the swingarm. The PS13 no matter which brand rear set definitely with the internal plunger setup a spring is not needed.

Nice carbon heel guards haha!!!

you still have a soft lever with the RCS?…I thought it felt pretty good on my SFV4S…I got the the little turn knob adjuster with the set I’m putting in the 916 Anniversario though just in case

The RCS was a vast improvement in firmness but I can still tell the ABS is there. I could brake very hard with the stock setup on the track but think I probably have found it’s limits.

I wish I knew a way to pulse the ABS via the ECU to ensure no air is stuck in there. I know some car guys that swear that is the best way to get the air out
