Here are some pics of the finished products. The carbon mounts from Mick worked out nicely.

With how wider the bars are I'd think it would feel more nimble. Can you twist it lock to lock without hitting the fairing with how its setup now?

Yeah it should turn a little easier. And yeah the left control switch hits the fairing. I need to reset the stops.

I have an adjustable wrench with layers of electrical tape on the jaws for just such a reason. I need to find a soft jaw wrench or nylon wrench pads.

I use an adjustable wrench with Carbon jaw liners for these things. I used 3mm CF sheet and cut two pieces the size of the jaws and bonded then. Bulletproof. No deformation on the tool and no marks on the fork cape

Dude, I was having some guilt over scuffing the blue anodizing on the pre-load adjusters, and was pretty sure I was going to be forum shamed for it…but now I feel better lol

lol yeah I felt the same way. I do so much adjusting I honestly don’t give a .... if they get scuffed up. I have that same take on the entire bike honestly. It’s a machine, I don’t care if it looks like I actually use it.

That's an expensive way to go about it lol. I had no idea CF sheets were that expensive...for what they are.

Husky 10 in. Soft Jaw Pliers-17PL0308 - The Home Depot $15

I think its dumb they are anodized blue. Just leave them raw anodized so tool marks don't show up.

Exactly lol

am I a horrible person if I don’t care if there are marks on there?

I did wrap the spanned in plastic wrap but did so much adjusting to get it right that it broke through the plastic wrap….at some point I stopped caring

there is a good chance that at some point I’m going to incompetently lay the bike down so…

don’t get me wrong, I care about how it looks, I also think usage marks looks good, wouldn’t bother me if that beautiful paint job got scuffed a little at the track…track patina is sexy

and, chics dig scars lol

It would bother me more if I took the forks somewhere to get serviced and they came back with tool marks vs if it was something I did.

This is the biggest reason I will likely be doing my own fork springs this winter.

The Corsa corta master is so much stronger than stock. Tested it out first track session, thought I was gonna go over the bars lol. Definite improvement. Will spend the day getting used to the modulation.

I like the R setting since it’s doesn’t have any dead zone. Will play around with the 18 and 20 setting to see if I prefer it stronger or not.

i get my bike back today, hopefully the rain clears up by then, I can’t wait to try the combo of the Corsa Corta with the brake tech pistons and the Sicom rotors.
