Hi guys! My name is Simon i'm from Québec Canada, we do speak french here so sorry for my bad English.

So Here it's winther and it's around -30deg C lol and yesterday I just bought a Panigale 2013 base model I just sold my RSV4.

So my concern is that I am an aircraft maintenance engineer so of course i will do every thing on my own and i Wonder if you guys have the maintenance task that must be carried out at the first service.

The bike is still at the dealer should i ask for some particular recalls to be done or check ?

Thx guys

there was 1 service bulletin regarding the left control switch module wire harness - it was only repaired if the bike had problems, so it was not an official recall

your dealer is easily able to access all trouble reports/service bulletins so that you are as up to date as possible, before you take your bike home - you could simply ask him if he's actually looked at what bulletins he knows about - sometimes there are map updates as well - most are related to your VIN number

-one thing you could do yourself, is check all of the allan heads holding the fairing in place everywhere (you might buy 2 or 3 for your tool box in case you happen to lose one) - it is fairly easy for some of them to be overlooked while they reinstall them during initial set-up - look from the front of the bike on both sides of the radiator, there are allan heads in there as well

-check the small triangular shaped muffler heat shield retaining bolts (1 shield per side)

-check the bolt that holds the shifter assembly to the motor (there were more than a few people that posted the bolt backed out and locked up the shifter)

-make sure the seat cowl is fully secured/latched in place

these things can sometimes be easily overlooked, and is easy enough to double check yourself

Good Luck with the new motorcycle !

Thx for your reply,

Any one have the checklist of the first service 1000km

It is a simple basic service:

-oil/filter change
-check cables, chain, idle, assorted nuts & bolts
-shut off service light

I think most readers here believe you'll look it up yourself in the manual, which you can download off the Ducati web site

Agreed.

As they say in the aircraft industry.
RTFM.
