So a Dyno curve is only going to tell you a very small piece of the picture. A Dyno run, as typically posted, only gives you a snapshot of what the bike is doing at wide open throttle through the rev range at what should be 1:1 (or closest) gear ratio. But your fuel and ignition maps are a three dimensional map consisting of throttle position, RPM and fuel or ignition value. So a Dyno graph isn’t going to tell you what the bike is going to do at steady state 50% throttle at 6k RPM as you might be in a sweeping corner. Also remember that on the Dyno there is no dynamic airflow into the airbox which changes afr and also power.

Agree with all of the above. Just saying I'd like to see a few more Brentuning charts. The rideability and "smoothness" really attest to the fueling/AFR improvements as you've stated.

I would really like to see some dyno comparisons of Bren. I can't seem to find much.

I’ll get it one once my local Dyno is open for business

I’ll do a run on the stock Akra UpMap and compare it to Bren’s 93 oct and maybe MR12 but I don’t wanna suck a valve through

maybe we’ll do a comparison with the sprint filter vs stock too using the 2 different Brenn files
And then we’ll know for sure if the sprint filter has any benefit.. my logic was if the stock Ducati one isn’t good enough... it would have been engineered differently.

I ride all over the filthy streets, I’d rather have a more restrictive OEM one to guarantee clean air. It’s a filter, let it do it’s job

I’d say it’s 100% correct.

I kinda compare this to the audio industry publishing their illusionary specification: JUST GO LISTEN TO IT that’s exactly what Bose says too, no specs just #listenforyourself

the problem is, that when someone like me spends my hard earned money on something and it generally improves the bike, we get all excited and present it to the world as the greatest thing ever. Which means all ur gonna hear from me is how great it is, although I’ve calmed down on that since it locked my friend @Hawk s ECU for a Whole weekend which was expected to be a “ride and enjoy my new flash” weekend. To my knowledge he was up and running better than ever after a very painful weekend

my point is that whatever Tuning solution u get, it’s gonna be hella better than stock cause there were lots language barriers when Ducati was developing software for the old big twins and that’s why they are herkey jerkey machines that want to throw you off mid corner. Until you go in, void the warranty and fix the problems. Not that any of our bikes are still under warranty.

Don’t hold me accountable if the Brenn tune or anything else ..... up ur fancy V4S lithium battery and the battery warranty that you paid extra for won’t cover it because you flashed it.
If i had a v4 rn, I’d have the dealer put the Akra on it and UpMap and enjoy it till the warranty is done, then do something, or maybe nothing at all bc im sure those bikes are a dream right out of the gate

I was thinking: pickup a V4, put the Vandemon full Ti exhaust on and send it to VCycleNut in Florida for a custom Dyno tune. Then he could make that a viable option for V4 guys, but still in my opinion, you can’t beat Dyno tune

HSBK really knows their stuff. They've been building MA/WSBK level machines for awhile now. I bought a 675R AMA DSB bike from them and the attention to detail was better than anything I've ever seen. That would hands down be the route I would go if you're close to them.

that’s what I said! Take it there.

but he wants the fan temps lowered.

I just got back from riding my Daytona 675. Had it screaming tonight. What a great bike.
Interested in seeing some pix/vids of ur 675.
Just cause the thread says BrennTuning doesn’t mean we can turn it into a general tuning thread

Can't wait to see brother! I agree with that comparison. There is definitely part of it that you just have to feel for yourself, but I also want to see some numbers and a curve to make me feel even better about dropping some money. Lol. I'll post up whatever I can after it's done. I'll try 91 and 93. Not a lot of 93 around me tho.

And yeah I'm definitely going with HSBK brother. I've only heard great things about them. I can live with a little extra heat. Can't wait to get all this done.

In the grand scheme of things, to me, looking at a Dyno readout is like looking at an SPL/Frequency graph for a speaker. In reality these bikes are so retarded fast does it really matter??? Not to me. It’s like asking this guy “how many watts is that”:

(1:35)

The answer to “how many watts” is “just have a seat”

anyone in Philly area wanna come experience Brenn on my 1299, bring me a bike to ride and we’ll go ripping around. Especially if you have diplomat tags so you won’t get arrested. I like pretending the street is closed course, and tripling posted speeds in 6 seconds flat

I’ll be back in philly whenever the world is done with LOCKDOWN
for now I’m in Venice Florida on vacation with my Daytona 675. You can come check that out down here too. I bleach my grips before and after each ride so it’ll be safe

Lol agreed. The bike is already ridiculous and better than I ever will be.
