Hello
I recently purchased a set of BST wheels (matte) for my 1299. I was wondering if there are any special care instructions such as which cleaners and polishers can be used. I usually clean the bike with mild soap and water. For the problem areas on the wheels I use WD40 or Honda spray and polish. Will I still be able to use these profits without Ill effects? I did try to use the search function here and on google but I did not find anything concrete. I just wanted to get an idea from the individuals running these wheels.

Thanks,
DJ

I have about a year of experience with a set of BST's and they still look new.

I use mild soap and water along with a little WD-40 for the tough spots.

I had BST's on my 1199 and 1299S and I recently put them on my 15 Pani R. I use Maguire's quick detail to clean them and I put a coat of wax to help easily clean off any chain grease, road tar, sut from the exhaust and brake dust It just wipes right up. They look brand new.

I have had a set of BST wheels since 2009 on my R1, they are still perfect.

1. Get a No-Mar tire changer and change the tires yourself. I have been the only one to ever change the tires on the BST wheels.

2. Mild soap and water, and no Spray Cleaner and Polish is the only thing I have used to clean.
