Buying a 1299 Panigale Final Edition

A cool mil and a lifetime supply of depends
Ok, so it can't be worth less then a standard 1299 Panigale, right?
So that's the bottom price (which is, what in your view, for a 2018, 0km)?

Rest is collectible taste/willingness to pay more

I would not sell mine, that is just me.
If i were to buy one now new, never used i would expect to pay 32-36.
I did see one last year with full system on it for sale for Retail price.
Keep in mind that system is 6300 plus labor to put it on and did not come with the bike.

Thanks. What is that “full system” you are quoting and what currency are your numbers? USD

USD, correct. It is the same AKRO under tail system that the 1299/SL came with.

The below is from Ducati's website. The bike should also come with 2 keys and the owners manual. The certificate that has been mentioned was sent to the original owners a year or so after the bikes were sold and Ducati decided how many they were going to build.

Standard Equipment
Riding Modes, Power Modes, Ducati Quickshift (DQS) up/down, Fully Ride by Wire (RbW), Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA+) with GPS and lean angle acquisition, Auto tyre calibration, Rapid setting DTC, DWC, EBC, Titanium connecting rods and valves, Balanced crankshaft, Lithium-ion battery, Auxiliary adjustment buttons, Forged Marchesini aluminium wheels, Akrapovič homologated full titanium exhaust
Additional Equipment
Racing windshield, Machined mirror block-off plates, License plate mount removal plug
Warranty (Months)

Thanks.
I made some research and most of the items that are listed here are attached to the bike as regular body items.
Only things that I would need to have (which are not included in the bike body) are:
  1. Owner's Manual (I found it online, I guess I can get that printed eventually?! Anyone knows the size of the original one?)
  2. Warranty and Maintenance Booklet (Do you think I can get that delivered to me by Ducati if I can proof ownership?)
  3. Ducati Owner Certificate (Do you think I can get that delivered to me by Ducati if I can proof ownership?)
  4. DDA+ (I believe this one is pretty easy to get from the market, or?)
  5. DDS Map Key (I believe this one is pretty easy to get from the market, or?)
Anything else I missed?

Thank you so much!

Mine are like this. 4 languages of manual.

I can see you are located in Dubai. Please note that just because your American friends tell you the bike is worth a certain amount of money that doesn't mean you can sell it for such in Dubai. I used to live in the UAE (and ride) and second-hand bikes are not very popular. Most buy new and often used bikes go for very low money. Just something to be aware of in the case you are considering all of the above through a UAE lens.

Thanks. I’m actually buying this bike brand new. Distressed seller. Zero km. And keeping it like that

I would ride it. I'm no seer, but I highly doubt FEs are going to appreciate in value. Just based on what I would do if I was going to collect "recent" bikes... I would get the rC213V-S ... Desmo RR. Maybe one of the more limited 1098Rs.

This is collecting....

oh ya. Desmo RR... gaaaawwwwdd that was a special bike. Such a particular sound. I would buy one of those for the bedroom. In SF, CA. their prices went way up for a few years, then a saw a couple for sale for quite a bit less. No idea what they're worth now. Well there you go. $85k with 0 miles. $57k for a well loved one. So there's a $10k appreciation for mint over 13 years with 1500 stamped out by hand. What percentage is that? Does anyone know math in here? I'm too tired.
