Buying a 1299 Panigale Final Edition

I think it would depend on whether it was a zero mile Desmo RR. If I got it from some random dentist who'd put a few miles on it already, I'd definitely ride it.

oh ya. Desmo RR... gaaaawwwwdd that was a special bike. Such a particular sound. I would buy one of those for the bedroom. In SF, CA. their prices went way up for a few years, then a saw a couple for sale for quite a bit less. No idea what they're worth now. Well there you go. $85k with 0 miles. $57k for a well loved one. So there's a $10k appreciation for mint over 13 years with 1500 stamped out by hand. What percentage is that? Does anyone know math in here? I'm too tired.

If that's the appreciation in 13 years I w/draw my previous statement. I'd ride the zero mile one too...

Those motors are a single compression ring configuration just like the SL. Is there anyone here who has any miles on a 1299SL or FE? 1299rFE I’m assuming your bike is a 2017? So that’s roughly 425 miles a year is that accurate?

I was told that FE is dual piston rings. Hence it doesn’t have the rebuild schedule the SL does

Same pistons, two rings and same recall issue. Just like SL, FE, 1199R and 14SL. With mileage lots of blowby and will need rebuild eventually. Not if but when, if
rebuild is no issue then great bike.
