Caliduc's Tricolores - Part 1 (1199S)

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Probably when I finished pro-bolting the 1199S Tricolore, wiring up both bikes and when my Ducati Corse Carbon Arai helmet arrives. I would like to include my third ducati, which was hard to track down, close and acquire.

I have a couple of friends who want to go at it with Nikons in a studio.

My women (who is a stunner) and whom loves the panigale wishes to drape herself over the bikes while dressed in her Agent Provocateur kit (tasteful not ....). Although these are of cause for my private and personal pleasure.

Both bikes look awesome... Makes me want a Tricolore ;) But, I really like the attention to detail you spent on the 1098. I don't think I'd ride either of your bikes, they're show quality. I'd have to pick up an R1 to ride I think.

I have a big soft spot for the 1098 S Tricolore, the Corse WSBK Slipper clutch (including Aluminium plates) in combination with the Brembo RCS, GP4-RX Calipers and HPK near on stop the rotation of the earth ;-) Bike is very agile and with the silencer removed the Termi on that bike BOOOMMS.

After getting the 41T upgrade I really got back into the 1199 S in a big way, I retained the silencer as the Termi on the panigale is even louder. My women loves the Panigale.

Love the R1 completely different bike to ride.

The 41T upgrade really does turn the Pani into an entirely different experience. Imagine spending $1,600 just on the flange like Trauma did.

By the way, where the heck is Trauma??

Can't decide who's Tri is sweeter, Cali or EvoL. EvoL has the sickest performance mods I've seen for a Tri but Cali has more visual bits. Shall I start a poll?

Cali..

Do you just ride? Or 4wheels as well?

4 wheels as well .. decent ones. Although, I actually have decent cars so other folks will drive me around ;)

I have a boat and my sailing club is the defender of the America's Cup. On that note the AC 72 boats competing this year have 40 miles of Carbon Fiber in them (so I am told). It takes a lot of skill to foil an AC72 .. far beyond my skill level. You can watch all this summers racing on youtube for free.

Visually I think EvoL's is a tougher looking bike.

But at the end of they day, both (or all three) are sweet as hell!

I passed on ceramic brakes as they are really only for track use and Ducati advised me that you have to get the brakes up to a certain temperature for them to be effect. There not suitable for road and so Ducati advised the Brembo HPKs (Panigale version) were best. Otherwise I would of almost certainly got them. I considered upgrading to the Ohlins FGR forks, however Ducati said track only as they make for a terrible ride on the road.

I do like Carbon BST, however with Satin Carbon I was unsure of the match and I actually really like the Tricolore wheels.

You don't want to know the $$$ value in these bikes as I am kind on embarrassed about that one

I kept all the original parts.

It's impressive. Be proud not embarrassed

+1199

Thanks for the input too Cali, I sure don't doubt your wallet is fat enough to match EvoL's setup.

I think I am probably double at least in the $$$ on the 1199 alone

I am not in a competition though (other than with myself).

Hmm .. maybe I should list the mods.

Did you leave the suspension stock? What's your impression of the difference in brake/rotor upgrade compared to stock?

Ok, I have attached and uploaded a much better picture of the Lumbar carbon to my member photo gallery, along with a better picture of the rear sprocket. Does this work ?

Thanks but the lumbar carbon is the black triangle on top on the rear cowl next to your butt. Whats the shot of the sprocket for? Anyway I guess my thought was lost in translation. Thanks for the sweet Tri pics!

Loving the new carbon vents Cali - great addition.

Would you be kind enough to drop me a PM with the details :)
