I was told this afternoon that I could be looking at the beginning to mid June delivery for my 1299 SL. We will see, excited either way to get it and do some track time.

Another rolling off the line...

Good news. Was it Ducati North America that called you or your dealership? Also, did they tell you anything about the track day?

Coincidentally, I just heard from the regional manager who oversees my dealership. He said that there are 3 phases of delivery that coincide with when the deposits were put down. I put mine down in December so I am likely in Phase 2, which means delivery in late July or early August. Also, there are multiple track days in Italy for the different phases so not everyone will be on July 25 / 26. He said to expect a call about that track day within the next 2 weeks or so. Fingers crossed...

I was told recently from my dealer, that it will be late June delivery and more details will follow in early June.

People that plan on going to the track event: are you planning on visiting the factory for a tour etc? Any other plans during the trip to Italy?

Wow this new Duc is so exotic. Good to see Ducati invests in putting over the top extreme and limited bike out. Patience will pay off in droves towards quality, IMO. Gotta give them time to put out the best work they can produce. Rushing can only reduce quality.

Duc, assuming they stick to a mid-week schedule for the later track events (like they are doing on 7/25 and 7/26), I would likely fly in on Saturday and spend a few days in Bologna and Florence. I would love to go on a factory tour and my regional manager mentioned there were rumors of a Lamborghini facility tour as well (assuming VW still owns Ducati by that point) among other events (dinners, etc.)

I was thinking of spending a week in Italy arriving a day or two early, doing the track day and then do a factory tour as well and possibly Lamborghini. Then bounce around to a couple cities for the remainder of my time. I was looking at bullet train schedules, from Florence just about every major city in Italy is 1 hour 30 min to just over 2 hours away. It's been a number of years since I've been to Europe. Too bad there is no Moto Gp or WSB race around that time.

I just received an email from Ducati inviting me to the track day on either August 2 or 3. I'm going to sign up for the 3rd so I'll arrive in the afternoon of the 2nd. Let me know if any of you guys plan to do the same.

I'm registered for Aug 2. Which tour package did you choose?

Neither really because I'm going to arrange my own accommodations but it's essentially the Borgo Panigale Experience. I signed up for the 4 - 5:30pm factory / museum tour on August 2 and the track day on August 3.

So I gave myself the 1st, 4th and 5th to do my own thing. I'll probably spend at least a day in Florence and then do one or both of the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums at some point as well as hang out in Bologna.

I passed on the packages as well. Plan to rent a car or motorcycle and explore

You should visit Cinque Terre if you're going to be on the coast near Bologna, actually forget Bologna unless you are visiting someone "special"!

I'm down to meet up for a beer or lunch if you or anyone else who may be going those days is interested.

I'm signed up for Aug 3 track day. I plan to arrive in Italy about 5 days before hand and will be there for about 2 weeks. If anyone wants to meet up let me know.
