Was hoping for some help, I've got a Moto Guzzi stelvio as well as the Panigale and am due to go camping this weekend. Moto Guzzi has broken so I'm going to have to go on the Panigale.

Any chance anyone knows of a (big) tail pack that will take a small tent, small sleeping bag etc otherwise I guess I'm booking into a local hotel and managing with a small kriega rucksack.

I can see plenty of big bags but not sure that they'll fit on the bike with no rear pegs and little little pillion.

Thanks.

have you thought about the kriega tailbags? i am sure you could use the strap setup to tie down your items

Think it's possible, got a Givi roll bag and some bungees and rock straps. Looks like I can bungee through the holes in the tail section.

It's not ideal with no rear foot pegs but it'll work. Maybe...

Kriega tail bags won't work on the 1299, seat section is smaller than on the 1199. Shame, I like their stuff.

Not their tail bags but their straps. They have a loop kit for the 1299 and the straps can hook to those loops to cinch down anything you want.

I have a ultralight camping setup that fits in a reg size backpack, thermarest/sleepingbag/pillow/1 man tent. Totally comfortable to ride with on, I never liked strapping things to a super bike. Just doesn't seem right.

Every year I go for two(ish) weeks into the Alps. I have additional rear seat from where I ripped off padding and bolted plastic plate into it. Won't win any beauty contest, but easy to use, can do 300+ in the autobahn all day long and carry the stuff for two weeks.

Not camping stuff though.

Luggage on a 1299

Givi roll bag secured through the tail with rokstraps worked well but this year I've had a better idea.

Multistrada as a second bike.

Backpack?
You don't want to start ....... up the tail on a 1299.

Can you get Ventura racks in the UK, I had one on a 996 then 749. Might save the tail and you can strap any cheap bag to it.

I had a Ventura rack on my Pani for my cross country trip. Small single swag fitted nicely with a 5l jerry can inside.
Just made a little foam cover to go over rear tail section top so there was no rubbing from bumpy roads.

I just "installed" the Ducati Performance tail bag. It was a bit soft and wobbly, so did a lot of modifications to make it stiff. Now it's really good. Got a lot of space aswell
