Can someone measure their rear shock spring height please?

Before I adjusted it, I forgot to note the measurement. I'm looking to find out the distance in mm between the two red points on the below picture from a stock preload Sachs shock. The manual gives an odd spec of "14mm from fully uncompressed spring."

Photo snip shamelessly stolen from e-Bay.

why odd? that should mean, the length of the uncompressed spring minus 14mm is the preloaded length of the entire spring.
the springs can differ from each other, even if stock. so you have to know the uncompressed length of your spring.
But...after this basic setting you want to adjust static and rider sag? you should.
i wouldn't care about the preloaded length. this is only important for a shop to set it up quickly.

The spring is never fully uncompressed when mounted on the shock regardless of the position of the adjustment and locking ring.

The manual otherwise gives good info about what the factory setting are with the exception of the rear shock preload which I think is just a bad translation.

I simply want to be able to set the bike to its factory setup again.
