CEL DTC Error

Last night, on the way home, the bike threw a CEL DTC error (not even 5 minutes from riding + warmed up). I was doing about 30mph when that popped up. Threw it into neutral and rolled my way into a parking spot on the sidewalk. While rolling, noticed DTC, DWC, and DQS all had errors. It had a hard time starting up after 5 minutes of being shut off and the CEL was still on. Put it in first just to see if I can limp the bike off the hill and onto a flat surface (was facing up hill), and there was barely any throttle response. After ~15 seconds, the engine just dies.

Had a friend help tow it home after. Checked the fuses and wheel speed sensor and they were good. Plugged in MelcoDiag to try to pull codes, nothing popped up. CEL eventually went away after leaving the bike on for a bit of time, so I decided to give it a test ride around the block. Not even a short block away, all the errors came back. Was able to limp it home but as I got to my drive way, engine dies again. Check for codes right away and nothing popped up. Let the bike sat on the on position and the cel eventually went away. Upon starting the engine, it came back and same symptoms.

The bike is on rapidbike + full exhaust. It ran fine for the last 1500 miles. I am about to disconnect the rapidbike from the OEM harness and see if it will have the same issues. Any ideas?

First check is battery and signal grounds. Sounds like voltage problem, bike is in limp mode.

It was at 12.5V last night when I checked after it died out. I’m charging the battery now cause I drained it too much trying to see if I can read the codes. I’ll be shocked if it’s the battery cause I’ve been riding it almost the whole week without any issues. Unless the alternator is having issues charging it

Charged the battery to 12.8V where that's the highest it will go up to based on the dash. Disconnected the tender. Checked the dash this morning and it's at 12.3-12.4V. It is still the original battery from 2021. I will see if it will start up after work and ride to see if the problem still persist.

@SBK-SP @Fishdicks Yup. It's def the battery. Really didn't think much of it as it started with no issues all the other days prior. Took it off the charger and rode it for a small amount of time no issues. Tried to start it again and it's struggling to start. Put it on the tender and it fires right up. Ordered antigravity battery. Should be here tomorrow. Thanks!.

Pretty much identical thing happened to me a couple of days ago!! Did you notice while it was playing up that it was only running on one pot? It wouldnt rev past 4000rpm. DQS DTC CEL wouldnt idle.... hard to start when faulting and I too bearly made it home.... big struggle. So I found the problem after a good few hours of checking connectors. One of the two fuel injector plugs inside the airbox had not been clicked home an was coming away from the contacts..... I couldnt beleive my luck finding this but I was convinced I had triple checked everywhere else.... Clicked it home and hey presto.... Got my V2 back to normal

Bach left the chat. I guarantee his battery was toast. In fact, I'm going to go out and order a fresh battery now just because, so I don't have problems. Cheers.

Final report?

So how'd you go there's a few people interested in the out come of this!

Sorry for the slow reply. Going through some personal issues. The bike has been put on the side as it needs rear rotor and pad as well as tires but the battery has been replaced and it resolved the issue.
