Chain Adjustment

I'm able to loosen the chain just fine with very little effort, but rotating the eccentric to tighter is nearly impossible. The adjustment bolts are not only all the way loose but I removed them. I finally did get the eccentric to rotate but the amount of effort to tight compared to loosening is just ridiculousness!

tightening (turning chain tool handle anti clockwise) is a pain. I had to tap the handle with a rubber mallet to get it to budge. finally did it last night.

Can anyone confirm what size hex wrench is needed to loosen the pinch bolts? All my tools are several thousands of miles away and my chain is in need of a little tightening.

M10 Hex @ 25Nm.
