yeah.
step 1: take it to the dealer
step 2: pay the dealer
step 3: have a cold one and laugh about how easy that was
Lame... This is a PITA.... but come on.... Dealer job?? Hah....
maybe they laugh at you in Longview/Kilgore area but here they say, thanks for coming back and giving us more money. being laughed at is the last thing I worry about in life.
I'd rather tune the ecu or pull the motor in a race car and rebuild it than change a windscreen. it's a nuisance and gives very little return.
I wasn't being serious...I'm sure no dealer would laugh at you (at least not to your face).
In all honesty though...it's easier than changing the oil.
I don't get this fascination with superglue on this site......You can do this job by both avoiding from fairing removal and superglue...
I don't get this fascination with superglue on this site......
Because Duck brand DuctTape just didn't look right.
... No such things are necessary... I promise you..
I'm sure there are likely better ways. I used the method I had available to me
Although the Hemostat is a great idea as well... If only I had thought of it, I would have taken mine out of my fishing tacklebox. Superglue is in the garage tool cabinet... In case I have to glue myself closed from any cut I give myself.
My kids are so use to me getting cut up that it is known that I didn't work hard enough if I'm not bleeding.
Lets hope you dont need to top up your oil at some point and use vegetable oil as that's available to you...
It is a DIY job.
4. Mount windscreen and mirrors and install the screws
What type of tool is used for these screws? Looks like a very small allen key?
