Is that a different cf heat shield as well, the rear of it has a cut out. Although maybe it's been prepped for pillion pegs to be fittedm:D

Guys don't compare that bike to the ones we've got. Yes it's a Panigale but it's the "RS" , so yes titanium pipes etc and many more things, it costs UK 80,000/- (US $ 124,688/-)

2 acquaintances of mine ride the RS for MotoRapido in BSB. Scott Smart and AA Bin Ladin. Both used to race here at the Autodrome, In fact Scott is still a member of our DOC FB page ;-)

If you don't read about his comments on any racing forums or publications- chances are he didn't like it. I doubt Ducati would miss any positive press Valentino Rossi might say if he DID like the bike!

"I started by testing the Panigale, and although we didn't have many laps, Nicky and I did some wheelies and some drifting. It's small and fast, really fast, and it's also beautiful, an absolutely fascinating bike.

I wonder what Checa didn't like about the Ducati 1199???? Can't Bayliss just race the damn thing next season!?!

It's all exciting stuff, we'll see what happens. Biaggi back to Ducati would be fantastic too tho.

Wow by now it seems to me like the panigale is actually a failure for ducati, a swing and a miss. Well Im stuck with it and I guess I'll have to keep riding it...

It's still way to early to make that call. There's a reason Ducati didn't race it in WSBK this year. I'm sure they're getting tons of info from the Superstock teams and making adjustments accordingly or at least I hope so? It would be disappointing to lose Checa but if BMW is going to open the bank for him then well....... not much Ducati can do there? Hayden seems to be the odd man out in Motogp so maybe Ducati will move him to a factory WSBK team next year?
