CHECK ENGINE Light - after Akrapovic Full Ti System Install

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

the front mounting bracket (the first picture in your post) comes with the Akra ti full system and is actually also made from titanium.

I have reached out to Akrapovic themselves and it seems like any missing parts or hardware from the system will take about 6 weeks to get.. Total bummer!

Does anyone know if the bracket used for the Termi full exhaust system silencers is the same fitment and placement for the Akrapovic front mounting holes?

Or does anyone happen to have one of these laying around that they no longer need?

Double check all the wiring that you had to remove around where the ECUs are. Did you make sure everything is plugged where it should be, including under the battery?

I have an extra sensor that bolts onto the headlight.

Worse case scenario, get the CEL scanned since the bike runs.

I've installed exhausts in both 2012 and 2013 removing the servos and no light.

I'm in the same boat..

2014 1199s, installed akrapovic evolution, checked and rechecked all plugs and wires...

Check Engine Light pops up sometimes and I have to turn off the bike and fire it up again to get the light to go away.
Got it scanned at the dealer and it turns out to be the exhaust servo. They claim that for as long as I'm running without the termi upmap, I will face this problem.

Worse still is that although I have the Rapid Bike racing on my bike - and as much of an amazing transformation as that is by itself) - it does not take care of the CEL caused by the missing servo.

That's the million dollar question.

It's been mentioned numerous times on the forums by people (including myself) who have installed this full system by themselves and haven't gotten a CEL. I don't even have mine tuned. Stock mapping n all. No CEL.
